I saw this Chevy Venture hearse not long after we go into Jersey. It appears to have been retired from funeral use and is privately owned...

 

If you swap your speakers, you'll see, the magnet is about the size of six fifty cent pieces. I believe if you went and bothe cheapest speakers you could find, it would be an upgrade. One of the first things I did was head unit, speakers, backup camera. No more reverse by feel. The sound quality is a huge difference. Hands free calls text google maps waze. The only thing I regret not doing is sound deadening behind the speakers so I get the occasional coffee can full of nails noise.

When I test drove a 3rd gen, the salesman said most people turn off the auto stop feature because they'd get triggered by a bird or leaf. But I don't know, I didn't buy one.

 

I've ridden across the bridge formerly known as Tappanzee many times, but this was my first time actually driving across it myself...

I met the owners of this 2005 Nissan X-Trail who in the parking lot of the very same rest stop in Massachusetts where I puked in the backseat of my dad's 1993 Chevy Blazer almost 30 years ago. You may notice that this vehicle has Ontario plates. The X-Trail has essentially been a rebadged Rogue since 2013, but prior to that it was never sold stateside. This example has 300K kilometers (or just over 186K miles) on the odometer, and the owner love it. Aside from the minor rust, it appeared to be in decent shape. Yes, I was given permission to take pictures!

 

Also at the rest stop in Charlton, MA...

So, I took a drive up to Centralia after Keystone Madness on Saturday, and came from a direction I've never come from before. Seriously, it's called Sillyman Street!
