What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed a cat shield over my cats today had to modify it to work with the all-pro skids. Worked out really well.
Also verified that it's time to do the ECGS bushing.

Ugh, all I've done recently is maintenence

 

I've got the driver tool, extractor, an extra seal (all from ecgs), and a perfectly sized pvc fitting for driving in the seal up for grabs.

Did it have the solid back panel? That's a nice piece to get to, remove the stupid seats

 

Anyone ever pull a 17' trailer? Can't imagine it'll be much of an issue

 

My buddy pulled a 17’ with no issues. Had upgraded suspension, leafs and air bags in the rear to help tho so not exactly stock

 

The furthest I'll really be pulling it is like 90 miles, and I'm 99% sure my truck has some heavier duty springs on it also.

5, always do maintenance when you can it pays for itself in the long run. Once you start adding more aftermarket things they require more upkeep on top of the general maintenance.

 

interesting, my half shafts have the same amount of play. i just never knew why. I'm going to research this bushing.

 

Deep down I'd want to do 1...but the logical side says do 5.

I'm in a similar boat, I really want to do cam gears for the "extra" mpg (how I'm selling the wife on it). But my steering rack is leaking and needs to be replaced.

 

I did the cam gears, and I did in fact get 1 or 2 extra mpgs. I definitely noticed an improvement. The body mount bushings are just because I'm trying to get to the bottom of a weird clank after replacing basically the entire front end of my truck. Power steering fluid probably hasn't even been cycled, a partial coolant flush seems relatively easy

 

my steering rack just started leaking this week as well

sometimes i forget my truck is 13 years old
