So I showed that shelf to the wife, and before I said anything she said no! I said no what? You don’t even know if I was going to say something or ask something. She said your not hanging that in the living room. Yes that is what I was going to ask.

I'm lucky I guess. No kids and have a wife who has an equally impressive collection of Raggedy Anns and Andys. She doesn't say much about what I do with my collection as long as it is confined to the 3rd bedroom, garage and basement. Being an automotive artist, I get away with my artwork being all through the house when I do back grounds with local landmarks or do something with Raggedy Ann and Andy.

Installed it last night after he went to bed so he would surprised when he came down stairs for breakfast. He was pretty excited and is even more excited to fill it up. Loaded it up with what cars he has open. Ill have to open up the boxes in the closet so we can fill it up.

Yea pre built kit. I bought it here https://www.etsy.com/listing/123700...f=sr_gallery-1-3&pop=1&organic_search_click=1

Thanks! Perfect place to share it haha

Yea, we are extremely fortunate to be renting a giant house from family. Its a 4 bedroom 3 bath house with a loft, living room and front room. And its only the wife, myself and the boy. So he has a playroom all to him self.

Just in case anyone is interested, my simple review of them is that they are nice. A tad bit expensive for what they are but I didn't have to design, make them so it is what it is. I was wrong about the mounting points. They are NOT 16 on center which isn't a huge deal hot wheels don't weight that much I just didn't want the kid tugging on something only held up by drywall. I used two hefty drywall hangers to reinforce it. And they are nice and tight.

The kit instructions say to wood glue the pieces in place, but I chose to not do that part. Also, they are a bit short. I cant fit any of his dump trucks, garbage truck, fire trucks etc. So kind of annoying. They look amazing, take up little space since they are mounted on the wall and its slim due to the angle of the cars. Im at 8/10

I started a Instagram account. @NWCDiecast Which I thought would help. But after a few hundred cars... the endless scrolling was annoying. So the honest answer is that I dont other than by memory. :bananadance:

I may or may not have scrolled through this thread looking at some of mine. I try to keep in my head what I have but even I can’t remember all of them.

Started the newest build. Still need to paint all the details but a pretty good start.

Not my usual thing but couldn't resist the history. The 54 Merc with the see through roof would have been wild!

I really appreciate the offer but I’m really hoping to find them “in the wild”

I’m not much of a collector but I am slowly filling up a 27 gallon tote with mostly gtr’s and a few random Toyota trucks and SUV’s lol

plus I keep some hanging around the house to give to my nephews when they come over

call it a compulsion that I’m trying to limit to random 1.00 purchases ( they just changed em to $1.07 around here lol)

If you stack them right a 27 gallon tote can hold more than 400 still in the packs. :anonymous:
