I wasn't really comfortable with extending the ground that long. I was going to extend the ect up there but making that custom harness is also pricey. Still feeling it out.

Borrowing Caribe's pic, I used the point where the blue arrow is pointed towards as I also could not access where the red arrow is pointed to.

Has anyone experienced an issue where the Puddle Lights won't turn on until a few minutes later?

I experienced this last night where I was flicking the switch on-off-auto while the dome lights are activated. It did not come on until approx. 10 minutes into my drive. Could the issue be related to bad grounding?

UPDATE: I might have fixed this problem; I used the proper grounding points (red arrow, above diagram) instead of where I originally had (blue arrow, above diagram). It was a pain in the fucking ass to get to those grounding points; I ended up asking my wife so she can use her much smaller hands to get to them. 10/10 fucking not fun.

Welp issue still persists despite using a good ground spot... Just this evening the puddle pods won't turn on with the switch in both on and auto position (dome lights on / door open).

I can only think of unhooking the switch from the A-pillar connection to directly power the pods but :annoyed:

Just to circle back, but did you check the T-harness in the A-pillar? Worst case scenario you might have a swapped wire or something. If so, you might wanna try contacting MESO via email for support.

I checked the T-harness in the A-pillar and re-terminated the ground again, as my previous install left it in a precarious bend (which could be the cause of my issues). It’s been only one night, but so far so good (cross fingers).

Anyone have a spot they recommend for grounding the meso puddle pod switch? Going to install my meso cubby and puddle switch this weekend and figured I’d ask first.

Right behind the head unit about couple of inches down. There are two 10mm bolts that you can use. Also, the head units mounting brackets are grounded.

@caribe makaira suggestion would be suitable for your switch location.

I disconnect with any electrical work. This taco is weird when it comes to messing with it. I've seen some horror stories with things as simple as map bulb replacements.

Specially this one. Fishing the harness wires inside the rubber boots with a bunch of thin wires.

Yes, I think it's also in the instructions

I didn't when I installed my Tundra puddles though
