Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Around here, there are 30 lanes to check out and there's usually 1 or 2 that are manned. The self check outs save my time and sanity and I don't have to deal with another person. I will pick the self check out over a person every time.

 

It's the same here.

I saw a sign at a local BBQ restaurant earlier today, it said "now hiring cooks starting at $12 an hour"

Isn't the cook one of the main people at a restaurant?

 

I'm not sure I'd wanna eat there LOL

I am ok with self checkouts, I just don't like waiting for the dang thing to catch up to as fast as I want to go. The program loading time is too long.

I don't know about all ya'lls Walmarts, but the ones around here have converted all but 1 checkout to self checkout. The only one that is still staffed by a person is the ciggy checkout.

 

Story time......our daughter is playing baseball, they had their 2nd practice yesterday evening. My wife took her. There was one coach there, my wife ask if he needed any help. He said nah, we got it. Another kid shows up with his dad, coach said you mind coaching half the team so we can scrimmage....strike 1.

My wife ask again, need any help? He said no, we got this....another kid shows up with his dad and ask need any help? Coach says sure, the more the merrier. Strike 2.

At the end of the practice, all the kids and dads left. There was only coach and my wife and all the baseball stuff laying out. My wife walks to get our daughter and coach acts like she's going to help clean up all the stuff. He said there's this and that......my wife said have fun, you said you didn't need my help. Strike 3, she's out!

When she called me and told me this, I get why it bothers her and it's not right at all for her to be left out because she's female. The kids are 6, they just want to play.

I said I understand why you said and did that but it doesn't set a good example for our daughter.

 

I think you are right, the 67 had the round marker lights in the grill. Some of the 68's have the the more oval marker light

I've actually got them figured out now but many times don't carry a bunch of cash or I don't want to use my debit card. The majority of my paycheck goes into a joint account and my preferred payment method.

 

My wife and her friends experience coaching girls softball; the get to the diamond and wait...their time of whatever 5:30 arrives, my wife politely tells the boys coach that they have reserved at 5:30, he replies just about done....5:45 wife says excuse me but we have the field at 5:30 and it's 5:45 come on now....guy replies...right in front of the boys and everyone, " if we wanted to listen to women bitch we'd stay at home with our wives",
Way to go there sport, great example for the kids.
It would have been a bad day for that guy had I been there.

 

No doubt. And a whole pile better than the $13/hour we were paying for painters this summer.

If he had talked to my wife like that, he'd never do it again to any other woman. My wife won't let anybody talk to her like that and I know better than to try

 

My wife helped our daughter at her game Saturday cause they lacked help. She also got the boys lined up for batting order every inning for our son for his game, because his coach ask her to. I've helped coach in the past for Cole's teams. It's not me, I lack the patience. That's why I pay them
