This is great, I appreciate the input! Really good to know on BT, especially since there is no availability in October for any tours or tastings. Might end up skipping it all together even though it's the groups favorite juice supplier. I didn't realize that group of distilleries were all together either, so we might try hit those all in a day for sure.

Finally got around to picking up my bottle. Still amazed at the price. The guy at total wine said they managed to get three cases of weller 12 this round.

It's very good neat. It just doesn't command $80.

If it were $50 or less I'd probably go get a 2nd bottle.

I didn't mean it to be all negative, it was a a cool place and nice to see it, I just felt like the point of the tour was to justify why its so hard / expensive to find their specialty stuff. Didnt learn anything like on the other tours. The tasting at the end was their vodka (pretty good) standard buffalo trace, eagle rare (might change based on the day), weller and their bourbon cream.

If it's on your list as a favorite distillery, it's still worth a visit as long as you know what to expect. If you don't get a slot, you can always join the waitlist. We did waitlist on two different days hoping we'd get one and ended up getting both.

Y'all are still on about drinking whiskey? Don't you know that stuff is the devil's elixir? I hear it will rot your brain and your dog will hate you more if you drink it.

Hold on lemme grab a glass and join you again. Been a long time... I'm thirsty, and this dog can get over himself.

    Had some more fun…

    63E053FA-1415-4EB1-BB83-B687BB8BB13A.jpg

Also sharing these photos of the single best liquor store collection I’ve ever seen…at a tiny store in a run-down section of town near Jacksonville, FL.

    555EB125-47B4-4E4E-B20B-7AFDBA6446F8.jpg
    6824BCF5-630D-49DB-8B2C-BF5F490150DF.jpg

3/5 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, AND Buffalo Trace Kosher AND Elmer T. Lee…plus a few good others. I didn’t buy anything at this store, but I definitely chatted up the guys working there for a while. They also pulled out a Caribou Crossing from the back. Funny thing is, their selection of regular bourbons out on the floor was terrible.
