Way to confuse the help. The post is for 3rd Gen, 2nd Gen is whole different scene.

I installed the winjet fog light on my 22 SR. currently the passenger side is working while the drivers side is not..... I'm guessing/wondering if the bulb is bad?
not sure if I can just go to the auto parts store and buy the bulb for the Tacoma fog lights or what to look under.

    anyone, anyone, bueller?

I got a stupid question that probably has already been answered. I have a 2019 dbcb sr prewired. I know the parts list include oem halogen fog lights. I was wondering if instead of running oem halogen fog lights on the SR, could I run oem led fog lights using the steering wheel off and replacing the stalk method? I completed this project to the T ( I think) and no lights from the oem led fog lights. I got the light on the dash working when engaged and only about 5.5volts at the plug. Please help TW!!!

Any lamps added to the harness at the front bumper will work.
    Verify all the connectors.

Man this would be awesome to do on my 2022 SR. Anyone in Tennessee around the Knoxville area that’s done this with a prewired sr? I can repair mechanical machinery but when it comes to this I’m clueless. I know something will go wrong lol.

Ask away what you don't get. Lot's of folks here to chime in, especially if you can follow written instructions. No need for 40# sledge hammer...

Also wanted to see if I can use a switch I don’t have to file.

It means that an added switch completes ground. The stalk on steering or the added switch will do that.

How did you end up wiring this? I have the same truck and year as you. I’d like to add a switch that is lit up. We’re you able to do this install just like the post shows?

Guess I’m confused on how to tap it or use a splice. I’d prefer to just add the switch to the dash that lights up rather than pulling steering wheel and ordering more parts for it.

Red box shows combination switch at the steering wheel. blue wire (+) from control ECU to switch to ground. An added aftermarket switch would do the same.

It's a very small gauge wire. You need the smallest crimp barrel (insulated) wired to the "IN" of the switch, then the "OUT" of the switch to chassis ground (bolt)

@LifeAngler, have you verified your Taco does have the blue wire going into the steering column?

I am going to verify this weekend but I have a 22 DCSB and from everything I’ve read I should be prewired. I was going to check though before ordering any parts.
