    Work in progress...
    I guess it's just the look. I mean it doesn't do any thing except look good. Titty bars would go out of business if that didn't count for something.

    Getting a scooped hood has been my favorite mod so far. Looks so much better and every time I walk past it I'm like damn, yeah this truck is mine.

    Absolutely love my scoop. The only time when it’s a bit annoying is off-road, can’t see anything behind that thing at times. Non scooped hood is already huge as it is.

    Trim lines are mostly about aesthetics and general preferences. When it comes down to it, a 4x4 SR5 is more capable than a RWD Off Road.

    No scoop, never….

    Coming from the WRX/STi world, I’m offended by vehicles with non-functional scoops.

    It does have a function though, makes the front end of truck look way more aggressive.

    I love the scoops. My personal opinion is that OR's look like base model vehicles thanks to the plain hood and black flares/front bumper insert.

    One of the issues I've heard regarding the Skewp is sun glare; my 2022 Barcelona Red TRD Sport is moving somewhere between Guanajuato and New England and when it gets here I'm thinking to put a decal on the hood along the lines of this decal from TFB Designs:

    I do not notice any glare from mine, however I always wear polarized sunglasses which totally helps.

    I'd have to agree with this... put the other pieces on, and the truck looks more "aggressive", if that's the right word for it.
    Shame it is non-functional and the hood is so !@#$%^&*() heavy to boot. I've never owned a vehicle with a heavier hood, but then I've never owned a truck. I'm sure there's a really good reason for it (so you don't see it vibrating with the airflow over the hood?). Maybe for stiffness? :ballchain:

    Being an old Mopar fan, I'd love to see a functional "Shaker Scoop" in place of this cosmetic Skewp. Yeah, silly on a Tacoma I know, but hey, I'm a relic from a different era. :)

    Nonfunctional scoops are nothing but an exercise in design. Could give 2 f’s. All about choices.

    @stftaco

    I saw a thread recently about hood vibration...darn if I can find it. (I did thread title search but there's quite a few...)

    I justified my purchase of hood struts for the above reason. Wife's reply, "How often do you open the hood?" Me, "Once a week to check oil levels in my truck and your car."

    Wonder if the hood struts help with preventing vibration?
