Greetings from the land of disgustingly lifted Toyotas with tiny wide tires. We rented a 4Runner to try fitting in.

 

Anyone know what’s the biggest size tire I can fit with no lift on a ‘65 mustang? Currently on 215/75/14 and the fronts are rubbing the spindle

Is that a joke or are you actually getting clearance issues? Sounds like someone yote some trailer tires on there so you could have wonky offset trailer wheels too. Should be either 185/75/14 or 205/70/14.

Either way, sweet! I had a 1965 with the same body style- IMO the coupe always looked more classy than the fastbacks. Any wild plans for it?

 

Anyone have a straight OEM 4wd spindle for the driver's side of a 2nd gen they want to sell me? I did a thing this weekend

 

Joke, yea and no. It does have clearance issues and the wheels are definitely wrong for the car. Wheels are a 4x4.25 that were wallowed out to fit on the 4x4.5 hub. For the time being I’m gonna just throw some washers or what not behind he wheel so it can at least get rolled around. and throw new tires on the rear that hold air.

Wild plans, not sure yet. Always thought my cousin was going to take the mustang when our grandpa passed but he said he didn’t want it. Said he’s too old and doesn’t want a big project like this. I always wanted to build a ‘68 yenko camaro and now I have the mustang so we’ll see what I come up with. Started outlining a 10yr plan for it. Year one is do research and come up with a plan and goal for it lol
