    ??

40k is what cars cost now.

Trimmed up half tons are 75-80k on the lot. This is the new reality.

GMC is the "luxury" truck for GMs, they've always been $$$

The colorado ZR2 is about 45k, according to a quick goog. Hell, my base-trim TRD OR was 36k before TTL etc. That's with no trims - no tech, no lights, etc. That was Dec 2019.

The GMC is going to have heated steering wheels and chrome and all that shenanigans to be "the nice truck" in the GM line. Depends what you value. For me I'd get the base trim 'rado and let 'er ride.

Yeah. Welcome. The future is now.

Prices may moderate some when....if...chip supply improves. But I wouldn't count on it.

We're all slowly becoming our grandparents. I remember when you could get a jr bacon cheeseburger for $1.

I said this in another thread. I am Canadian but love listening to Dave Ramsey rant. Last week he said the average new vehicle in the states is at 48k and an average monthly payment at 733.

They got 8 year notes for em now too!

The only saving grace is that they're actually reliable for 10+ years now for most brands.

Bolt on flare always look like shit.

Custom fender panels or don't waste your time.

And if you don't drive a Toyota for the most part. In 8 years they are all pretty much scrap metal

Yeah, but 25 years ago autos were *done* at 10/100,000mi. Like, scrapheap done because repairs exceed value.

They certainly have things break, but they remain functional transport boxes for at least 15/150k now.

They have a couple of trim levels that look good, have some functional stuff, and don't have the chrome, steps, etc... I am really thinking about it just for the updated tech/displays, looks a little roomier inside, and just overall looks much better than the past colorado/canyons/rangers that were supposed to be Tacoma competition

The ranger looks great other than the bed height. It is just disproportionate. And the windows line up with it. That's the only gripe I have.

I am more function over fashion so I'd be in the lowest trim Colorado possible instead of a canyon at all but to each their own.

I'm not a fan of the front end of the ranger...resembles their cars too much. ever time i see it i think of the fusion
