Fuel filter job gone bad. The flare nut on the side closest to the engine is seized so I can't thread it into the new filter. It's on enough that I was able to get it onto the flatbed but it sprays like hell.

It's all good. I want to get my front brakes done, rear shocks, front diff fixed and then just stick to regular fluid changes. I can't afford to be paying people to do work for me.

    Oh GAWD NO!
This is Maryland. Expect to have at least one day in the upper 80s sometime in November.
Usually the day before or the day after a snow storm.

That stinks, mine is crustier then yours. It's the one filter that I want to change but put it off after realizing that the nuts were part of the line at this point. I hope that the shop can do a solid repair for you. I'm curious to see if they drop the tank and replace the whole line or just cut it off and flare and union on a new section.

Fingers-crossed for as many snow storms as possible. Would take an 80 degree day if it meant/ushered-in a couple weeks of blizzard :)

Yeah, I was not happy about it. Toyota says it's a lifetime filter but we all know that's not true. Seeing these things cut open after just 10 years looks awful. Imagine if it's never been changed.
I've changed it twice in the last 10 years, around 50K mile increments. Maybe too much? Probably. But I've managed to get my rig to 318K miles doing something right. I'm hoping they'll cut the line and install a new flare nut and flare the line, but we'll see. I had AAA bring a flatbed out and they got to my house in about an hour. So it's been there since around 10 AM. Fingers crossed for something good, because God knows I need it.

And not to mention above all else, it's extremely disheartening when you start a job only to realize that you aren't able to finish it. I mean this ended up being something out of my control, but the feeling is still there. Nobody taught me how to do this stuff and I want to be able to teach my boys the same thing when they get older. Such is life...

Its fine for fire roads/National Forest roads and my brothers place in W.Va. If I decide to hit Harford Mall I plan on upgrading to a straight front axel and 35's.
