I believe they redid the motors between '17 and '18 and with the new 850/900. From my understanding the '18+ was smoother through the range and bet power, but I never road the older versions, or newer for that fact, just this one. I may have missed your price point, but picked this up with 8k miles for $9k. New 850's are around $12k New I think and the 900's $15k. I'm sure you could find some used ones cheaper like posted a few posts back.

The XR vs XC is the 19" cast front wheel vs 21" spoked wheels, respectively. It's when you go up from base, to X, to T that the electronics progress. My XRx has 4 drive modes, heated grips, cruise, and I can completely turn off TC and ABS (rear only) if I get in to the settings.

IDK much about the torque curve, but I know the Tenere 700 shares the same CP2 engine as the FZ-07/MT07/XSR700. Much more torquey on the low end, with a top speed of somewhere in the 110-120 range depending on the bike.

New tail bag arrived today. Old one's zipper bit the dust but it gave me 4 strong years of service, never once dropping anything, no matter how many times I stuck pistols, ammo, or wallet back there, forgetting to zip and then ripping down the highway... :anonymous:

This one is quite a bit bigger (didn't really want bigger but I won't complain!), much better made (in the US of A!), and holds more pistols than I currently own, plus ammo, my FAK, flat repair kit, water, snacks, and probably a small dog or two... :D

So, new rubber, 90 degree air valves, new tail bag, suspension semi-dialed in, and no one at the range? Heaven!

Yeah the top graph is the T7. Basically flat torque from 2,000 rpm (aka holy shit that's low) up to 7,000. My F800 lugs under 2.5K and isn't flat until 3k.

It's been several pages since someone has mentioned tire changes, but I came across this in a rabbit hole. They have street kits, ADV kits, and dirt bike kits.

Dianne and I completed the Iron Butt Association Lighthouse Challenge shortly after Labor Day and submitted all photos, SPOT tracking links, receipts, and paper work to have our ride verified. I got the email yesterday afternoon that it is approved and our certificate will be on the way. We managed to see 66 lighthouses over 10 states and did it in roughly 5 months. Rather than posting all 66 individual photos the link below will take you to my SmugMug account and for anyone interested you can get a little look at what we saw.

    https://charlessnyder.smugmug.com/Lighthouse-Challenge/

On the left is a small icon near the bottom that will contain my comments identifying each location and the date we visited.

My friend/former supervisor/ co worker is checking with her husband tonight and might be buying my Navi :anonymous: :pout:

I'll be sad to see it go, but there's a lot of reasons why I don't need it. Including my F800GS needing a new rear shock, I think.. those are like half a $Navi by themselves.

That kinda my fear of getting into a mini bike. It’s a fun toy, but once the luster wears off, am I really gonna keep it or ride it often enough that it isn’t just wasting away in the corner of the garage?

    :annoyed:

I also have the CT90 still, and as much fun as the Navi is they both serve the exact same purpose and with as much work as I've put into the CT there's no way I'm selling it at this point, y'know.

Still fully on team mini bike, but I just don't need two.

I have the reverse problem. It’s way more convenient to hop on the Grom for around town and short rides so the SV650 just collects dust in our basement.

I thought you were crazy buying the Navi in the first place! I think the only reason somebody should own a Navi would be bar hopping in a small town, cruising around at the beach, or just learning and doesn’t know how to shift yet. Other than that CT90, Grom, and Monkey are just way more fun to ride.

Me too, same with the Z125. Unless you have a squad to roll with, the grom/z125 are a drag on normal bikes.

Imagine only going 45mph as your max. The litre bikes and 600cc guys would be angry. Its like half of 1st gear
