Hey guys, just a quick question. I know several folks will point me to a manual that’s impossible to find online, but I’ll ask anyway. My truck is at home with the owners manual in it and I’m at work. I’d like to pick up oil and filter before I go home (save a trip back to town).
I am a “by the book” guy. Can someone tell me the correct weight and quantity specified in the owners manual for a 1986 Pickup 4x4 (22R). Bonus points for a filter number but I’m sure the part store can look that up.
    Thanks for your time!
    Pic for attention

Thank you for this, that’s a useful website. Unfortunately my phone will not load it and I don’t know how to fix it. Says it’s “blocking google adsense”.

The Filter PN is Toyota 90915YZZG2

I haven't had good luck with aftermarket oil filters, the anti drainback valve doesn't seem to work as well and it resulting in timing chain rattle on startup until the oil pressure builds again.

I'm running plain old Oreillys 10W40 in my 85 with 22R and it is happy. It ran noisier with 5W30

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
In my 22R series engines new and old I always used 5 quarts and the large filters.

valvoline 15/40 oil on both new and used engines

Running a HD diesel oil gets you the benefit of additional zinc too! Older motors like that. If I wasn't worried about leaks I'd be running Rotella:D

In my 86 I use 10-40W and I’ve always used Fram filters, I’d say they work well as I’m just hitting 355,000 on the original motor.
