This was taken two days ago at 9,000Ft. Colorado. I felt the need to photograph it after I had my buddy who owns a body shop shoot my hood scoop black. Very happy with the results having it professionally done. A satin finish with an epoxy added, it should last a long time. The grill and emblems are headed to his shop next, unbeknownst to him. ;)

Yeah but it saves the sick line they used to have. I’d rather get a reservation than not know and sit in line for more than an hour to get in.

Timed reservations are only during peak hours. If you go in before a certain time (8AM, 7AM, 6AM idk which but their website will say somewhere) you don't need the timed entry res. There was also a back way in on a 4x4 road when we were there in 2021.

Not me, give me the freedom to go in and out as I choose at any time of day, after all I did buy the annual pass.

How many of the people waiting in line do you think have that same pass?

It just sucks being a local and living 30 minutes from one of these parks and having to get up early to be there before the 9am deadline. Or go later after the 3pm time frame. Or making a reservation and having to schedule your day around going in is BS for the money you put out for these passes.

Any tips or suggestions for driving that road? I'd like to give it a go but I'm a bit of a newbie at tracks like that.

White rim? First it’s a reservation thing usually a few month out, so you’ve got to plan ahead. Other than that it’s an easy drive. Can be done in any stock truck/suv with 4wd. Mostly two wheel drive and rocky. A few steep hills that need 4wd. And watch some youtube videos. It’s a beautiful drive. The campsite have pit toilets and nice views. It’s a great trail to get to know your truck. I highly recommend it.

Oh and sort of off roading in general, if you don’t have a compressor, look into getting one. 100 miles on rocky dirt beats you up. Being able to air down off roading makes all the difference. Saw a number of people clearly not aired down and it just bounces the hell out of you.

Never swerve for a deer! Taco vs concrete culvert and mail box. If you look close you can see where both passenger side wheels hit the culvert and launched bent the frame right at the knuckle!! I’ve never cried for a truck before RIP Taco RIP
