Anyone want to put together a Tacoma trek? I.e. a jamboree for Tacomas only. Im sure people do this in small local groups of a few vehicles..im talking a big gathering on a national or regional scale with 100s of tacos.. that would be awesome!.

Not always about making money. When I had a Jeep a few guys on jeep forum organized a group meet up in Centralia pa and we explored the abandoned town and some of the forest roads and also graffiti highway. They envied any one with a jeep of any kind to come no fee. Even a few dodges and Chevys came. It was fun not like it can't be done if some local people organize.

I Went the Rauch Creek off road park with them too once although there is a per vehicle entry fee there.

You said you weren't interested in something that was about a money gubbing group.
I suggested it was possible to do something different and smaller regionally and still fun. But seems like if this tread is gonna be a bunch of Jack asses I will not bother to add anything else.

OP is referring to things on a regional national level with 100s of tacos, NOT local small stuff as you mentioned.

Interesting to see you so triggered, should probably not wear your insecurity on your sleeve

Actually it was 50 or more. It's not always easy to organize something that large

    Still not 100s.

To your edit, that’s my point. To organize something large like that often requires money, incentives, sponsors etc. Jeep Jamboree which was referenced charges people fees to drive public roads, sure you get a couple free cheap meals but why would I have almost $1000 for my family to drive free public roads when I can just go with some forum friends for free.

If you think that’s being a jerk you should get out now Nancy. Or you can respond with something relevant to the OP.

I did a memorial day run with 3,000 motorcycles - we had about 50 cops escorting us through towns and red lights ...
People on over passes waving us on ...

It was a lot of fun until it wasn't - always 1 ( or more ) jack azzez who were all about how big and bad and fast they were.

I'd be game for a Taco Run tho.... Destination: Taco Bell ??

Reminds me of rolling thunder. Was cool to do but was actually super boring spent most of the time just waiting.

Texas has the Lonestar Jamboree, it’s exclusive to Toyotas and there’s dozens of big name vendors that show up every year

edit: there’s also usually thousands of trucks, FJs, 4Runners, Tacomas, Tundras, etc.

The group organizer didn't make anything. One place was on public land the other we had to pay the property owner to use it as Rausch Creek is private owned off road park, everyone pays to use it. The guy the organized the group trip didn't charge a fee. Not the same as when they charge an event fee like Jeep jamboree charges.

JoeCOVA is a j**k. Nothing about the post is seeking fees to attend. I have been to many rallys just put on by volunteers. It just takes dedicated people, getting the word out, and hoping the event grows every year. I've been to annual honda events at zero cost where over 150 cars come from over 40 States just to have fun and owners of similar cars. I've also been to jeep gatherings with more than 60 jeeps in attendance. Again zero cost. And no vendors Your view is pessimistic at best.
