No. I’m saying a Rivian is $30K more than a similar size truck like a Tacoma.

I think there's like one other company doing hydrogen for commercial, FUSO I think, otherwise Toyota does hydrogen cars in a few states. It's an open market but niche. Walmart is switching their forklifts and warehouse trucks to green hydrogen

IIRC, FUSO is a sub-brand (maybe even box truck model?) of Mitsubishi.

That Mirai interior is nice for a $50k car. Actually may be the 'Limited" interior at $66k

People can't handle a possible turbo tacoma. No way they'd go for a FCEV Tacoma.

There are a lot of Mirai around in my area. One of the local ARCO has a 4 hydrogen fuel stations so easy to fill up here.

I’ve talked to several of the owners. They love them and as noted here they have a very nice interior.

If I was in the market for a really nice commuter car I’d definitely give the Mirai a look.

Since hydrogen stations are a decade behind EV charging stations the hydrogen vehicles are local for today. In the next decade I predict wide availability of DC fast charging and regional availability of hydrogen.

Must just be me but I wouldn't even buy an Audi until we had a local dealership.

No way in hell I'm buying a luxury level priced vehicle I know I'm only keeping within the warranty period that has near zero support for parts or service.

I saw a handful of Rivians in Seattle this weekend, two already had body damage. Guess they're just shit outta luck.

They don't have body shops in Seattle?

Does it matter if you can't get parts?

How about warranty issues? They don't have enough vehicles to sell let alone offer loaners when they have your new Rivian for months waiting on repairs.

Or are these also totally infallible and free from issues and recalls?

How do you know they aren’t able to offer loaners?

Of course there will be issues with a new vehicle and manufacturer but it’s how they handle them that is important.
