There was a stretch of time where this tune was tested exclusively in 4lo for days at a time.

The process has never been "test it on the road and hope it works out in 4lo".

It shows. Throttle control is actually a thing. Again, well done.

anyone come from valley runner 2.0 on 5.29's? My truck is really heavy with a four wheel camper. I've been running the VR tune for a long time and really enjoy it. I'm Curious on a comparison.

I'm not sure but we are confident in the tune's ability to provide a superior driving experience.

Are you able to flash yourself or would you need a Pro Tuner?

Okay, so decided to run with ECT on the last few days, including a road trip to tha big city… No real load on/in the truck, just my daily weight, but mileage has hit 20.5 mpg on around 2000 miles. Not too shabby!

FWIW, I have been contacted by a couple people trying to poach my business to other tunes… Won’t happen. This tune is exactly what I wanted for my truck. Thanks again for the amazing product!

    That's awesome to hear Richard!

With regard to the poaching, the Nexus team is not opposed to having their name(s) on display. Especially if it will prevent future efforts from said individual(s) from undermining our business (and very likely other businesses as well).

The staff here on TW have come to an agreement that all major tuning threads will remain locked for a while. Why you ask? We get endless reports and messages regarding tuners bickering with other tuners or other unacceptable behavior. We are sick and tired of the immature actions and this is the last straw. The threads will be unlocked in one week. If there is ONE more instance of bickering, shitting on a competitors thread, or any more reports, we will remove all tuning threads and block it from future discussion. This is the last chance.

Side note: BST rules still apply to tuners. Don’t join TW just to peddle your tunes without actively participating in the community or you will find yourself banned.

Just to Clarify, although Nexus never really offered an MT file, we do sell MT versions of Blackhawk.

Well, after running 12,000 miles with the Nexus +P tune I can say that this truck drives very well. It's my DD and I pull a 5,000lb(loaded) Micro Minnie around just fine. Other than not so great fuel mileage, I have no complaints, only praise for the tuners. I thought that this would be my last tune, but dang it, ya'll have come up with this Blackhawk tune. Please put me on the list for this upgrade when you have time. Thanks
edit: I can flash this myself.

Time for a review for us MT people. I am currently running the Blackhawk MT tune Active Duty Premium. My local gas station I like to use doesn’t have 91 so I’ve been using 93 the 2 tanks I’ve run through so far.

My truck has been flashed with a couple other tunes prior and has ran just fine but I’m always searching for more. The stock tune was a joke for these trucks. Even after flashing multiple other tunes I was still getting that “power band” feeling around 3500rpm and some stutter when I swapped to 2nd at too low of RPMs.
With only ~700 initial miles (2 tanks), I have found a tune that does have a linear torque feeling and feels like the lower end torque is where it’s suppose to be. I actually pulled out in front of traffic last week and had to step on it, grabbed 2nd and looked down and was running 60 and pulling off from them while grinning ear to ear. Before I would have waited to a large gap in traffic to pull out. (You MT guys know what I mean.)

My initial concerns of losing gas mileage have gone away. I assumed I would be heavier on the pedal and it would drop. As of right now the truck is getting 20. It’s been around 19 for the past couple years after I removed the air dam and put on bigger tires. I’m sure the premium fuel helps a little but I’ve run 93 prior to the tune and couldn’t tell a difference really.
Hope things continue to stay the way they are now. I haven’t tried the Weekend Warrior varient or the regular octane varient yet, but at these numbers I may not.
Thanks to the team for a great tune and answering my questions before I pulled the trigger!

If you have a 3rd Gen Manual, this is the one:thumbsup:

Thanks for the feedback on this. YW has been a huge help in the MT world for a good while, and the collab has definitely been a fun project. We've collectively aimed at providing the community with the best possible experience, and we can't do that without unadulterated feedback from drivers. Yes, we've had some bumps in the road with Blackhawk which we worked to resolve quickly, but we also didn't try and cover it up either. Transparency is a critical part of improvement, and we can't improve if we don't get absolute feedback from our customers. Again, thank you for the awesome review!
