    Suspension, sliders, scratches

I dunno how I missed this, sorry! Haven't tested the sliders properly yet, just caked 'em with mud a few times so far. Poor truck rode like hell, turns out the suspension was thrashed/recalled/cracked/seized.

@Maxx has done a lot of great work on it after intensive research and shopping. Highly recommend @Maxx for any work. My truck rides like a dream now! Uppers/lowers/front and rear bumps/leafs/coilovers/tierods/swaybar delete/ubolt flip/etc. No more lean, taller, smoother, stiffer. The shake is gone too.

@AA-Ron76 Your truck looks great all around. Your sliders are the right answer!

No worries man, I'm still in the process of disassembly... everything was completely bound up tight and it's a total nightmare to get the axle/hub/spindle separated.

bound up due to being boogered or hardware seized up? I see you're in Gilbert so I can swing by and drop of spindle(s) and help if you need another set of hands to get it torn apart.

Boogered I'm guessing, I just did a wheel bearing on the other side on Saturday and everything popped apart no problem. I wouldn't mind another set of eyes if you're up for it, I'm off Ray and Cooper.

Guess I might as well throw some pics up here so yall can make fun of me :D

This is what ate me. The stupid part is I actually drove over it in the other direction earlier in the day and it was totally fine, but I ended up encountering an even gnarlier one further down the trail and turned around. I was rolling up to it fairly gently (I thought), but the ledge kinda gave way and dumped me right into it. Hit a rock or some hard pack hard enough to bend the rim and blow the bead since it was aired down. Limped it out to the road and had it towed home.

Tabs on the front mount are pretty bent (ignore the paint pen, that alignment was pre-LCA install)

Got mad at it this morning and just yanked the entire thing apart with the axle still on there, gonna drench it in PB or something and see if gravity will help me out. The last battle (I hope) is going to be the lower shock bolt, I think it's a little tweaked too. Since I just did a bearing on the passenger side last week I'm guessing this one is close to being shot too, so I might just buy a hub assembly and bolt it up to a new spindle, but I still need to get my axle freed up.

oof.. Been there unfortunately. That's what made me gusset everything originally. Same thing happened to my Cam Tabs when I blew out the front end the first time. I replaced everything and had gussets added to the Cam Tabs (actually replacement tabs), the coil buckets and spindles. Since then I've been in a couple front end impacts over the years so I've replaced the entire front end, again, twice over (because I like to replace everything/both sides together at the same time when this happens so its all new together) with other/new gusseted spindles and new hubs, etc. I should have a few left over parts, including the spindle(s) from the last few rebuilds.. so I'll see what all I have and put together a list. See what you need/want. I can go through it all tonight and then bring it all by and lend a hand tomorrow after work? I definitely recommend just getting and replacing both hubs with new, assembled hubs. I also have some Bison Cam Tabs you can have if you want. I went with the Poly Taco tabs instead and they have been awesome.

Awesome, thanks so much! Tomorrow evening would be great, I'll be around all day. I actually already ordered Marlin's LCA gusset kit, so hopefully my tabs will be safer next time. Decided to take this as an opportunity to freshen and beef things up since I'll need an alignment anyway - waiting on new bushings, tie rod ends, hub assemblies, Marlin LCA gussets and TC UCA/coil bucket and spindle gussets. :spending:

@azchris Well, I should have marked them originally, but I'll compare them to mine and see which is which.

That's why I took the photo in that orientation. I'm pretty sure these are from the very first incident, which was blowing out the passenger side.

New machine days are fun and I'm always nervous - did I check all the passage heights? did I account for skate height, did our facilities guys have their floor plan right? It's definitely a love hate thing. Tuesday is my incoming, did a late walk through, smog hog is already removed so no overhead restrictions - this is the start of good omens.

Owner has the whole shop laid out in CAD. Placement and clearances are all measured, recorded, and taped off, placed. Lol. Hunter does an awesome job every time and we had an over/under on their time from truck to shop floor. Should be making chips next week sometime.

    What are you gettin??

Kitamura HX300iG - replacing a 2004 Haas EC-400. It's made lots of chips, faithfully and accurately, but the replacement parts are becoming more and more "special".

I'm the one that gets to make sure everything fits, and after a panic on a Mori NH4000 tool changer, I've learned my lesson. C&M is who we use most, they laid the thing on it's side and moved under one of the upper floor beams, then stood it back up. Saved my bacon.
