People here won't buy a new Tundra until all the bugs are worked out. Never buy the first year of a new build right?

But you have zero problems buying the first year of a new build from a brand new automaker who has done nothing but struggle?

    Bold strategy there Cotton.

Because they haven’t produced the Max Pack version yet. I’ve stated that many times.

Again, how do you know they are not able to offer loaners?

Everything I've read online says you're offered Uber credits first, then a rental...and lastly a loaner for critical failures.

    If available.

    Uber credits. JFC.

I have other vehicles, so while not optimal this would be a non issue to me.

So what’s your job title at Rivian? Marketing? Why do you have so much info if you don’t even own one of their vehicles yet?

Who said I was buying a Rivian? You said there was no place to fix a Rivian and you were shown otherwise.

Actually I said there were no parts to fix them with.

Have a problem with your defective auto Rivian tonneau cover? The company response is "do you want it permanently open or permanently closed?"

    No parts, no fix.

    Thanks for supporting a startup.

Timing works out great for me and my waiting. I’ll have the revised tonneau from the start

The biggest issue right now is they need more “local” service centers. For Portland, they need to come down from Bellevue to transport your vehicle up there. That’s being rectified with mobile service, using our vans, whoops, I mean their vans and more locations.

Not exactly a secret, they can't build new vehicles to any promised capacity due to parts shortages.

    Their own words...

"Rivian Chief Executive R.J. Scaringe told the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg that Rivian’s manufacturing plant in Illinois is operating well-below peak capacity because of global parts shortages..."

That could be any of the parts necessary to complete the build of a complete vehicle, like seats, which most fender benders don’t need replaced.

That's initial parts from foreign suppliers. They stamp the body parts there in Normal IL.

    Lmao no worries then!

I'm sure they've got all the repair parts lined up ready to go despite not being able to hit production quotas.

    Enjoy fellas!
