I ordered the terminals and 90980-10800 plus I already have the crimpers for the terminals so hopefully I’m good to go

 

Cool, PM him for the terminals and connector to the CH4x4 switch.

 

The switch comes with a pig tail. I was amazed by how many different switches CH4x4 carries for the Toyota switch panels

 

Great, what's the legend on the switch? Crimp the 090 terminals to the wires then to the -10800.

Ok so I got all the parts to hook up a switch to the bed lights. I am using the 90980-10800 housing and the correct terminals connected to the factory cargo light switch harness and am using a CH4x4 on/off switch shown in post 89.
The switch works fine, turns lights on/off BUT the “lights on” indicator on the switch works opposite as it should, it’s on when light are off and off when lights are on, if I reverse the wires the switch works but indicator light doesn’t light up at all. I am using the white/black and blue wires on the factory harness. I’m thinking that because the relay uses a ground to open it’s causing the indicator light on the switch to work opposite. Any ideas?

 

And the switch illumination wires are where?

 

Most likely the input wire is reversed (on PCB). Switch Legend could be erroneous. You'll need to verify the switch away from the vehicle. 9vDC battery will work.

 

No way to get switch illumination working with a custom switch for ground switched circuits. You’d have to drive a relay to switch the circuit so that the custom switch is effectively power switching. Or live without the indicator.

 

Ask Kyle...we've done some extensive testing and it works...

 

It is illuminated two ways, when headlights are on the "Bed Lights" text on the switch lights up, I have that going to the green wire on harness and it works as it should, when the switch is in the ON position and the bed lights are on the picture of the bed on the switch lights up indicating the lights are on, when switched off the indicator light turns off, mine is working opposite.

 

Either that or redo the switch such that the indicator feeds from external power and add a 5th input
