As far as I know you can carry as many guns with you as you want, as long as they’re all legal.

I think it's the same here. In certain spots I take a rifle and a shotgun when we're coyote hunting. Might get a long shot, might pop out in your lap.

Hate to say it but anyone kicking in my door will be met with extreme prejudice, I'm thinking I may re-do my dead bolt setup because of this.

You'd be surprised how often they get addresses wrong. Sadly, several people around SLC have lost front doors to increasingly kinetic options only to discover its the wrong address that got hit.

Drill deep and rescrew the strike plate. Use some good 2-3in screws. Takes like 5 mins and really beefs the door. Alternatively, they sell much improved strike plate and hinge kits for about $100.

An extra deadbolt in the top or bottom of the door with a blank plate on the outside adds quite a bit of hassle for kick-in style attack strategies. That or an internal blocking type design like a door bar, or they have a sort of "chock" style that you insert a block into a plate on the floor. Really hard to defeat in any short length of time without a K12 to go through the door.

Schlage locks were the most resilient against drill attacks to the face plate. Worked as a quasi-locksmith for a while and that's what I have on my house now.

Most importantly, IFF before you open the door at zero dark thirty, yo.

Exactly.. 3 inch screws for the win.. and as a firefighter I've had to knock down a few doors in my time.. those 1 inch screws pop like candy

I was gonna say, ask a FF what annoys them the most on doors and then do that.

When we were in Panama a few years ago, one of the air b n B's had a door with a lock that looked like a gun safe, multiple round bolts going thru the top bottom and sides. It was nice, I've got a pic somewhere...

In Ontario, it's illegal to "fortify" your doors. I think they used biker gangs making their club houses too hard to raid as an excuse for the implementing the law.
