I think it’s time to part ways with my 1970 VW Type 3 fastback. Great little car. Air cooled flat 4 with Bosche fuel injection. 4 speed manual. Starts, runs, and stop as it should. New interior, Subaru WRX blue paint done in 2011. No rust, floor pans and body are solid.

Recent things done:
Oil change
Coil pack
Fuel sender
Cut off switch for battery

Things it needs:
Has a cracked header for the exhaust so it’s pretty loud. (I have a new one)
Radio goes in and out
Blinkers don’t work.

Willing to trade for an older Toyota or am open to offers.
Would prefer to sell.

Had one like that in the early '70s windshield washer ran off the spare tire air pressure. Also had a weird oil burner like heater that used gas from the fuel tank. Instant heat in the wintertime.

 

Yeah it’s quite the time warp.
