How is the set up so far with the harness? Have you experienced any hyper flash or anything out of the ordinary?

No issues at all. All of the adapter harness wires are labeled and match Toyota's wire coloring. It's pretty hard to mess up. The only small challenge (not related to wiring) is how far you have to unbutton the front end to do the headlight swap. That was a bit of a surprise.

Light output is glorious, as are the DRLs and fancy sequential turn signals. No regrets at all for spending the time + $. Functional and really good looking.

Nothing compared to a headlight swap in a Mercedes SLK roller-skate though. Step 1: disassemble the entire front end. Tires? Take those off too. Never helping out with that job again.

Dropping the bumper is a bit scary. I actually started it to do the mirror trim plates long before considering new headlights and aborted, this was prior to watching any videos. Once you watch a video or two it's less daunting. You just want to not be pressed for time and have a clean/safe and well-lit space to work. I wound up taking my entire bumper completely off just to see a bit more of the crash bar for future front slimline bumper stuff. In hindsight, just drop it as the videos instruct, it's not that hard, just maybe a little bit of a stresser on a new truck but minimal risk if you work purposefully and use trim tools. My passenger side doesn't line up within 1mm like the drive side does but I think it looked that way before too, I think the PO had a tiny little impact at one point. And, after all, it's a bumper not a piece of jewelry.

Be gentle with the fender flares, those are pricey too.

The most important part is to try your best to not scratch the lenses of the new headlights, avoid dropping them, etc, just basic caution.

This is also an excellent time to do things like installing a behind-the-grill light bar and aftermarket fog lamps. As long as you're taking all that stuff off, you can knock out a few other jobs without repeating the work.
