Trying to decide between the Sony XAV AX6000 vs XAV AX7000 from Trailgridpro for my 2019 Tacoma OR because it seems like something I can do myself.

The AX6000 is newer and has wireless Carplay/AndroidAudo but rated at 20Watt RMS. The older AX7000 has a built in amp at 45Watt RMS.

Which one should I get if I dont have plans (or money) to redo all my OEM speakers in the doors and stuff?

Any and all insights would be mighty appreciated. Thanks you all in advance for your guidance!

Any plans down the road to upgrade speakers? I’m wondering what the stock unit is I think 20watt rms would be a down grade. I’d go with the 45watt and keep bass treble down on a lower setting if you turn up the volume to a higher level.

The 6000 is rated at 55 watts ×4 peak which is a nice bump up from the OEM HU. The 7000 is rated at 100 watts ×4 peak which is also pretty nice. For factory speakers the 6000 would be less likely to blow the speakers out but for future upgrades the 7000 would be my choice. Just be easy on the volume until you upgrade the speakers.

In other threads in the forums, it looks like the stock Entune head unit is about 12.25 Watts RMS

That’s disappointing. Do you use crutch field? If not id check them out.
