Who has some miles on the new UpTOP Snorkel?

I had a buddy 3d print an adaptor for it as well so I could use the syklone pre-filter option

 

Had time yesterday to attach this then dinner.

 

I can't fully tell if I still like the look or not. I think the snorkel tube and head size looks fine, but that fender box just seems like its huge now; maybe its just the pics. Does the fender box stick out further than the fender flares/mirror/sliders? It looks massive in the last couple pics.

 

Ill take more pics later. Also decided to put off putting the liner back in and just placed some deadoning material for now

 

More often than not these companies price themselves into closure.

 

Uptop has always been outrageously expensive.

They have been one of the more/most expensive options for what they sell, but a year ago I think their prices were justified by the quality. It seems now that their prices keep going up, but the value isn’t there.

 

Do you have dyno day scheduled? It looks better in regards to size but numbers will tell the tale.

 

Not yet. I've been busy with work since we're at the end of the Fed FY. I'll try and get this done next week though. I did fail to provide the details behind this test snorkel....

This is a test snorkel to utilize the existing clamps and tubing while increasing the box and "throat" of the snorkel (I'm told ~33%). It's clearly not a finished product, so this isn't what you'll be getting. It'll be something better. I'm just testing the fit, the intake, and hp. Let's see what happens after that. I'll post all charts without redaction so everyone is on the same page.

 

I disagree, their quality(while better than some other companies) has never been in line with their prices.

 

Holy hell. That went from being a good looking snorkel that functioned like shit to a shitty looking snorkel that may or may not still function like shit.

 

Looks like a transformer saluting, can't unsee it.

 

Looks like it sticks out as far as the mirror. Which is ridiculous.

 

Looks like it would have the same issue as the uptop snorkel. Like drinking through a coffee stirrer.

 

15% off after raising the price is about as slimy as it gets. This company is going to run itself into the ground at this rate. They treat us like fools if they believe in this bs marketing tactic.

Why are you complaining about a sale? If the price was raised specifically to nullify the discount of the sale it would be slimy, this isn’t.
