No one has asked this question but...

Have you had any kind of tune to the ECU?

    Are you the first owner?

What amount of acceleration were you experiencing ?
To the floor, light, etc ?
I had a camaro once years ago and the IAC motor would stick sometimes and accelerate the car.

A buddy of mine could make his truck accelerate whenever he keyed up on his CB- he had a 200w (totally illegal) linear amplifier attached to it. I use radios (legal ones) and such on mine but never had an issue, but is there anything in your truck or mods that could be emitting or overly sensitive to EMI?

If it helps you feel better, modern Toyota's have a brake override feature. It automatically returns throttle to closed if the brake pedal is pressed, regardless of all other inputs. The only way for it to runaway is if something is physically jamming the throttle plate, like a stupid throttle body spacer or chunks of air filter from mice chewing things up.

No sir, I've felt that before as well. This was not that. Thank you for your kind words and I too sincerely hope this can be easily solved.

Yes I can confirm this since the accelerating stopped as soon as I stepped on the brakes.

This might be a possibility. I forgot to mention in the post above that I've got a meso total taillights custom harness on my truck as well for the better illumination it provides whether it's reversing, blinkers, running lights, or braking. Also I have the high beam mod done where my headlights are the ones crash recommends. I forget if it's h9 to h11 bulb or vice versa. Also interior lights are bright white leds and I have the meso dome light. My fogs were always wired. I didn't do any rewiring. I just swapped the oem ones for ss3 max with backlight with the harness I bought on here. None of the mentioned have given me any issues thus far. But they're definitely worth mentioning here.

Did you get a message on the center display for brake override?

First owner, no ecu tuning done. Mechanically, it's all stock. I've done some mild lighting upgrades and the dealer did the spacer lift and tires/wheels.

It definitely wasn't wide open throttle. I'd say light to medium acceleration. From what I can recall, it didn't change gears as it did it.

No sir. Looked at center display almost immediately to see if cruise control was accidentally engaged, but it wasn't. And no other lights were on.

I think there is software there to detect both occurrences happening, brake and accel, and to remedy the situation. A safety feature. Why it happened is interesting.
Floor mats clear of accelerator ?

Yes sir, floor mats were definitely not the issue. There was nothing physically obstructing the gas pedal.

Custom tunes were ruled out in the other threads since there were multiple people with stock vehicles that had the same issue.

At least on a good note the acceleration subsided when the brake was depressed. On past issues years ago with other vehicles this was not the case.
And with my IAC issue on my chevy it wasn't either and was quite concerning.

    Interesting.

I will say I notice my Sport lunge when I take it out of Park. I have OTT Tune 8.0 with Gear Lock.

But it has not accelerated on it's own while I've got my foot off the throttle pedal.

Seems like one of the rare oddities that people have and there doesn't seem to be any obvious similarity between those that have the issues. I initially assumed adaptive cruise control was the culprit but most people with the problem tend to not be using cruise control at the time and there have been a few pre TSS models with the issue as well IIRC.
