I was also at the eye Dr yesterday. Hour and 45 minutes. Same scenario , crowded and back to the waiting room twice after testing . My pressures were as high as they have ever been . 25 both eyes ,usually around 17-19 . I have macular puckering optic nerve cupping and all kinds of other crap that could be the beginning of glaucoma on top of all that retina and cataract surgery. At least I can still drive and hunt

 

Sorry to hear. My pressure was 23 in the right and 25 in the left, but those numbers are normal for me. When I was on steroids after the surgery, they were in the mid 30s. It is supposed to be under 20. My blood pressure was high too, from all the worry before hand. The doc said I am starting to get some macular puckering on my bad eye. he said it's 50-50 chance he will need to do something in the future. The good news is the bad eye is stable and my good eye has no visible issues at this time. I'll take that.

 

I’ve been taking these for a couple years now along with good fish oil . Supposed to be good for the eyes

Good morning everybody. Enjoy your weekend!

We had a nice break from the humidity yesterday so I ended up trimming on a tree some more. Have all I can cut with the pole saw chopped off. Monday I’ll ride in the bucket on the neighbor's tractor to get some higher branches that are over the roof.

Getting this done just in time too, we have Tropical Storm Ian heading into the gulf next week. Weather guessers and the news anchors are stirring the panic already. The lucky landfall location will be influenced by a cold front that’s pushing south. Right now it sounds like the entire west coast of Florida is in play.

My Dad was on eye drops for glaucoma, never had it. My eye doctor was alarmed at the pressures in my eyes, both above 30, but said it is normal for me. I do the mapping test when I go in, no blind spots.

Glad you got them, I will send the rest in a few days

 

Sounds almost like a normal visit to any Veterans Administration Hospital or clinic . The Ortho clinic is the worst with having to wait 45 min to over 1.5 hours over your scheduled appointment time . I remember one time at the Loma Linda VA in the Socal High Desert I had an appointment there at 0830hrs

The waiting room was full with no seats available and Veterans in wheelchairs in the passage way along the walls and Veterans standing or sitting in the same passage way . There was a TV monitor in the waiting room with a message stating there were 1.5 hrs behind schedule , the clinic has only been open 30 minutes at that time

I was finally seen by my Doctor at 1145hrs !!

Looks like rain in the forecast all day


Had fun last night at the car show , the car count was way down from the summer months , from an average of 300 cars down at least 45 cars last
night . I guess cooler temps , getting dark earlier plus cars leaving 30 minutes after the event starts is a sign it's over until next year


Still nothing in the mailbox from Andy , hopefully today the patches arrive !!!

 

Took my mom to UVA Thursday and did the same. full waiting room. gave up my seat to an elderly lady and stood.

Installed and works great! And I got the lawn mowed too….

 

Was $100 from KTJO 4x4. Came with an inline plug, so no splicing required, was pretty easy to install.
