I've since upgraded to that spec. Let me know if you'd like anymore info.

Do you have dogs? How does it go back there with the pet screen on the Windsor - do they get enough air?

Any rough estimates on how much it might cost total?

    thanks!

I do not have dogs and I do not have the pet screens, so, sorry, not exactly the same spec. But the vented windoors offer decent airflow, and if you have a front window slider, you can open those to significantly increase ventilation, especially when driving.

    Old thread is old

but just in case anybody was wondering how much weight it actually takes to break the mounting points for the 100RCC rack , its exactly this much ~

Poop. Uh, 400 lbs? By break, do you mean just the rack towers, or did they punch through the Leer roof? Can't tell from pic.

I cracked the roof from the rear passenger rack tower back to the rear window hatch

I hit a whoop in the road that I didn't get slowed down enough for and the beams did a teeter totter body slam on the rack

I've taken lots of loads that heavy (thats basically equivalent of 16 / 20' 2x6) , pretty certain its a cumulative effect of overloading it for 12 years

thanks , my own damn fault though . Was planning on two trips with one timber per run but it was end of day and supposed to rain and I just went for it

hit the whoop , heard a big crack like ice on a pond breaking and knew right away what that sound meant lol

Doh. Yeah, the leverage from those must be brutal. Repair the crack, add a third cross rail, and install long travel resi Kings. Or buy a cheap old F150 with a lumber rack for those big wood days.:burp:
