Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
FYI, I deleted that last post related to my female friend in Horsefly. That stuff best left to a private message.

It's kind of off roading. Not what most of you encounter. But this "road" in a local state park is, seemingly, regularly traveled, and definitely not closed off. Go up there occasionally. It gets kind of nasty in some sections.

Clear Lake, Colorado near Silverton this week. Also Molas Pass, Ouray, etc. And helped a fellow Toyota get a Jeep unstuck at 12k ft on a shelf road…

Fishing on the brain. Winter hits soon in the mountains here and the small lakes will be snow and ice bound then. Gotta get in as many trips as possible. A few days ago at a local lake with 4x4 access. Belly boat fishing.

Download Gaia or OnX apps, it will show you what trails are around and most if them have a difficulty rating, which you can filter and enjoy basic to insane limits hahaha. Cheers

Honestly, getting worn out from too many off road trips this year. 30+ remote off road trips since April on some shit kicking roads.

It's not the 4x4 trails that are the issue. Those are fine, 4-lo first gear and crawl over some rough spots. No jostling about. That's the easy and fun part.

It's the hideous washboard and pothole roads in BC that you have to drive before you get to the 4x4 trails. Just hammering down those roads, cursing the whole way. I air down to 20 pounds at the start of those roads but it helps little. Done this maybe 500 times now over the years and those roads do not stop sucking.

Complicated by 3 years of work disability for severe neck and back injuries. The more trips I do, the worse the pain. So taking my belly boat these days as my back is too sore to lift my 10 ft Lund onto the roof racks right now.

Anyhow, here is a few days ago. About 30 miles of brutal washboard and pothole roads, and then a couple of miles of 4x4 only trails. A lake that is new to me, and it is managed as a catch and release fly fishing only trophy lake and no one there. Landed a really nice 3 pound rainbow. Tried to get to a second lake further away, but ran into some 4 foot high vertical drops on rock faces that would have left me way high centered. Too bad, likely even better fishing there due to less pressure.
