Are those the Power 5's?

I ran those in the rain for a bit, granted it's San Diego and it was on a Yamaha XSR700 but there were some pretty wet days. Didn't notice any problems but also was mostly highway miles so not much opportunity for any puddles or anything.

That said the Michelin Road 5/6 are supposed to be great for both

 

well finally getting the time to have a buddy come out with the shim kit to get my bike up and going! so ill get a little bit of riding in before its to cold to ride! and yes im one of those that hate cold weather lol

 

Lol, me too. It was 59° the other morning at 5am and I seriously considered throwing on my leather gear.

 

haha ya my buddy makes fun of me for it but man i dont want to be riding with loads of stuff to stay warm haha just not something i want to do so once it gets cold ill wait for nice weekend days to ride lol no more work commuting!

 

The stock tires are Michelin power cup 2s hypersports. Super sticky. But wouldn't trust them in the rain. They look like slicks

LONG POST ALERT!!!

Rode behind two sport bike bros on Skyline Drive this morning... may have hit 70-80 through a few turns () but they were passing cars in areas that were a little too reckless for my taste.

Decided to go the opposite way I normally ride afterwards and found this...









So, right after I posted the above pics, I decided to head out and make today my highest mileage day ever! Did 120 miles this morning and, after grabbing a quick bite to eat, loaded up with a few pistols and some ammo and planned on taking back roads to the range. Hoped to get another 40-50 miles in (I know that's small potatoes for some of you!), but alas, a young lady decided to introduce the passenger side of her SUV to my left boot, shoulder, and shifter plate...



She was hanging out in the passing lane, so I started to go by her in the slow lane. Just as I passed her rear, I saw her turn signal come on but didn't expect her to pull a Family Guy Asian lady maneuver! Fortunately, it was glancing blow, I was in 2nd gear (because shifting was a non-option), less than a mile from home, and the only damage was what you see in the pic and her mirror. Also, she was very concerned and apologetic. Felt bad for her because it was an honest mistake, other than her pulling into the lane so darn quickly. Was able to get the bike home at least!

Nah Sumi is my 98 civic yor is the klx atm she is still torn ish apart… so here is a photo of before it died

the bike does run and drive now but it’s pissing oil from the stator cover now before it just did a small leak so I gotta drain the oil and try and seal that damn thing again… really wish I could get the broken bolts out…
