I wouldn't. Toyota WS is not the dex 3 that the steering calls for.

So, my 2011 Tacoma base model (Sport) has a power steering cooler. A very good friend of mine who is a certified mechanic, showed this to me while we recharging the AC last year. He tells me it looks factory.
Anyone else have thus on their truck?
And if Toyota went that far to improve my truck's performance, the the heck did mine come with drum brakes?

Power-assisted ventilated front disc brakes were/are standard on all Tacomas, from 1995 thru present.

I do have disc brakes up front, but sadly I have drum brakes on the back.
I just changed my drums at 118k yesterday.
All new hardware, shoes and drums.
Disc brakes are next weekend when I have more time.
    However, my original question stands.
Does anyone else have a small power steering cooler on their truck?
I thought it was an oil cooler, but following the lines, it goes back to the power steering pump.

Yours is like every other Tacoma in existence, unless upgraded by an owner along the way. Given the front-to-back brake balance, I doubt such an upgrade is worth the time and expense to install it.

Did the power steering return line method with the front wheels jacked up. Plugged the reservoir with a foam ear plug. I didn’t even bother emptying with a turkey baster or syringe. Filled with Valvoline max life ATF. At 89k the fluid looked real dark (Arnold Palmer container)

This is the way! I'm a mechanic and prefer this method. Most cars I work on the return lines or any power steering lines are brittle and would either break or cause a leak if I disconnected them. Best to drain and fill the reservoir like this above. Takes longer, but it absolutely works! 1-2 qt of dex 3 is all it takes.
