That's what I'm trying to get at. @Nano909 make it sound so easy. If that's the case, most of the DB lift will be revert easily....

I'm having trouble finding it but someone here had a very well done, detailed procedure of removing their DB lift. Probably in a build thread.

OP would probably much rather do that over a SAS since he wants comfort.

Yeah, you don't SAS for comfort.

I have owned both I feel the 1st. Gens are built better...square tube frame...access cab rear speakers...pop out windows... center console opens easy from both sides mods are generally a few $000cheaper METAL TRUCK BED I rest my case ... 2nd gen rock solid drive train but honestly like the interior feels rattle and cheap...the bed is plastic and made of many parts that want to come apart..huge holes/gaps let dust and water in .bed . bigger engine less mpg...c channel frame ...not as many MT out there as there is auto Trans.....CHANGE MY MIND !!! LOL

Composite bed is just as strong and not prone to rust. I get 18/19 combined in both my trucks. 4 liter is more powerful both in horsepower and torque. 4 liter is easier to work on with regular maintenance. No leaking valve covers or timing belt replacement either. You get traction controls with 2nd Gen along with more comfort on the interior all the way around. Better sound system and upgraded head unit. Tailgate is also better along with more bed room as it is deeper.

Got to love the lack of technology 1st gens have. No need for all that extra useless tech. People thinking a 2nd gen is like a luxury car have never been in an actual luxury car

The feel of the interior compared to a first generation is like being in a luxury car. I didn't say it was a luxury car if that's who you're referring to.

My Audi seats are far superior quality to your crappy 2nd gen seats. Do not compare the two.

What about the junk of frame that was cut out (not unbolted) to install the DB?

Will flex tape or JB Weld work to replace it?

Honestly it might be other than small engine leaks which is an easy fix but just don’t wanna do it or have the time to right now

I have a rough country lift but just used fabtech spindles so I didn’t have to run the ball joint spacers from rough country

Mainly just the ride comfort from the 6 inch lift, I’ve upgraded coilovers and it helped a little but any 3 inch lift is way more comfortable than any 6 inch unless you spend big money on the 6 inch lift
