Dang looks like I slept in and everyone is gone now lol. Nice meeting everyone again and glad I at least got to have a few beers around the fire.

 

What site were you on? We just drove through about a half an hour ago and didn't see you. We all were taking pictures down by the main building.

 

Have to say I was a bit disappointed to find that the afternoon plans changed and all of a sudden vehicles are rolling and it didn't seem there was room to tag along. Wasn't sure I wanted to take my truck where I assumed everyone was going. Oh well, next time.

 

Me and SJ made a quick pit stop to get all the cement off. $6 for 6 minutes. Nice little self serve in North Fond Du Lac

 

I wasn't sure what happened there, either. I know some of us were talking about getting out for the afternoon run, and Tim mentioned riding along with somebody for the afternoon run. So, I offered him to hop in with me. And then, everybody was pulling out.

 

Like that @Thatbassguy said we were going to stop by you this morning and went past site 69, but it was empty so thought maybe you were on the trails or took off. Sorry we missed you.

 

So sorry about that. I had thought everyone knew what the plan was. I'll take that blame on that

Thanks again to all for your hospitality and commradery. @Supr4Lo thanks for your planning and experience on the trails. Really helps to instill confidence in us newbs! Had a great weekend and I'm looking forward to future adventures with you fools.

 

Couldn't have said it better myself. Definitely learned a lot. While I got humbled a couple times, I now know anything daunting can turn into something exhilarating and rewarding. Honestly went into it wondering if it would be worth getting obsessed over, and I can say without a doubt it's something I want to do until I can't walk. And even then I'll let you guys talk me into some 35's on my wheelchair.
