We’ll I know that now! I was thinking where am I going to find a Mikuni carburetor for a Coleman generator with a Subaru engine? The Colman web site was worthless so I tried Amazon expecting to either strike out or get socked in the wallet. Lo’ and behold, I’ll have it Monday in time for Tuesday’s hurricane which is now forecast to slide up the coast just west of us.

Still a little pissed that my fence post snapped off below grade. PT 4x4 from Lowes and I don’t think it lasted 6 months.

Green treated? Or red? I asked about the difference and the lumber yard "pro-desk" had some discussion between everyone there and they said the color was the only difference. I knew THAT wasn't right so I walked out into their yard and looked at what they had, green, and it was stamped right on it, "not rated for soil contact". So I ordered all red. Of course this is central Utah so they sent me half green treat anyway. At least the important structural lumber was red so the building went up.

Pretty sure the tag is still stapled to the end, I’ll go look it the morning. Home Depot sells Yellawood I’ll try that next.

No fences attracted us to this building site and surrounding area. I did find a short piece of fence wire imbedded in tree bark years later. Reminds me of the rule to check the tree before I start the saw.

Checked Lowes website and here were other complaints about their PT 4x4s rotting. I went to my local ACE and they had clean, straight, dry yellawood 4x4s

I'm not familiar with "Yellawood" but Ace is where I found the green treated lumber that said, "not rated for soil contact".

Yellawood is big down here, I’ve use it before and never had a rot issue like the garbage I got from Lowes. The problem was always trying to find some that didn’t look and feel like it had been floated across the bay.

Best to treat your fence-post wood with creosote if you can find it. Let them stand in a creosote filled container for several hours. I've used a 4' x 8" pvc pipe with a cap on the bottom. Takes several days to treat all your posts, but they'll last forever.
Whatever wood you use, drainage is most important:
    36" hole
    6" gravel
    post
    6" more gravel
24" concrete or dirt or gravel
Do NOT allow concrete or dirt to cup the bottom of the post.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/woodys. I'm going to bite the bullet today and start attending to some routine medical stuff I've been putting off. Shingrix shot, flu shot, C***D booster, colonoscopy appointment...

After those calls are done I'm going to put the Taco to work hauling gravel. I want to finish trimming around the garage before winter sets in.

    Nice video.

Going to hack away at removing shrubs and crushed rock where the pond used to be this morning. Then it is off to Harris Teeter for some vegetables. Smoking a rack of baby back ribs today. Harris Teeter has split chicken breasts for .99 a pound. Going to stock up.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Welp, kind of a lousy weekend. Wife decided to run errands a little longer, so I put off going to the Lockhart airport fly-in Saturday morning. Too hot on the tarmac when she got back. Decided I would pay a bill for her, and wash the honeydew off the truck after a quick stop at the store. Truck blew up there in the parking lot. Smoke, stink, would not run. Finally got it to start, and made it home quick as I could; no power steering, no alternator (light on), and temp pegging. So, figure I threw the belt. Ran and got one for Sunday repair - spent the day fuming.
So Sunday, the best way in there is from the bottom, removing the skid plate. Get front four bolts - two in back refuse to take a size identity! And my pinched nerve comes back, making it just painful to even get in there and out. Give up. Go from the top, I will. Shroud loose, fan clutch bolts off, and "the fan pulls right off". No, it does not! Bang, pull, Blaster, not moving. Painfully removed the fan from the clutch on the front, and get stuff out of the way. So what broke the belt? Idlers good, alt and ps seem OK, but the water pump feels like a pepper mill with the last too big corn in there. It's puked.
So, watched some videos, messaged a friend who gave me some confidence, ordered the parts, and that's what I'll be replacing this week.
