    Nah. For $25 you're better off with a 750 of BT or WT101. Literally a 5/10 on a true 10 point scale (0 - disgusting/5 - average/10 - pinnacle)

Like you, I am a 'spoiled' bourbon lover :) there are many other things I'd rather have.

I had a bottle and thought it was good. For $25 I would've picked it up. It got some flack when it came out because of the celebrity connection, but I liked it.

so still not much bite, a little syrupy, notes of butterscotch. It’s a little sweet, reminds me of four roses I think but it’s been a while since I had four roses

IMO it's just something the WT portfolio has no need for. $40, which is MSRP, already gets you a Russell's Reserve 10 year which is a far superior bourbon, or most of the way to 2xWT101, which is also a better drink.

It feels like some marketing doofus at Campari trying to ride the coattails of the celebrity bourbon craze. It's not bad - it's good in fact, I'll never turn it down - but WT already has stuff that's purely better, better in the price range, as well as better per dollar spent so...Longbranch feels forced.

You’re barely young enough to walk into the store unassisted, good for you.

They charged you for the bag? Where’d you buy these, Aldi?

So…if you’ve had the 10 year before, how is it and how does it compare to the standard SB Rye? $160 is quite a hefty price…

    CA charges for bags.
I got them from a grocery store in Sacramento. Corti Brothers. They got two and I bought both. In addition to that, I got a sample of this from their liquor buyer/wine manager of 35+ years. I have yet to try the sample

Below is my ranking on the Michters rye line up. Left to right, favorite towards the left

I guess suggested retail is $185. So I’d say I did quite well at $165/ea

Be honest with you, Michter’s is not a brand I know a ton about. I only recently got into their rye, never had their straight bourbon at all. But I enjoyed the single barrel rye so much I bought a couple more bottles when I found them at a great price.

Apparently the mid and upper echelons of Michter’s offerings are so super limited that they deserve the high prices. It would be like Old Forester having several different birthday bourbons I suppose.

Despite coming across Stagg Jr and Pappy and multiple BTACs on my FL trip, I never saw a Michter’s any level above the SB Rye. These may be next in my hunt.

Something fun to consider…the prize packages are insane. On the fence about entering…if all 10,000 tickets are sold those are silly odds and I can buy a couple nice bottles with $100.

I’m a big fan of all Michter’s offerings.
Their barrel strength rye is definitely my favorite rye. I recently picked up a backup bottle so I’ve been making my way through the bottle up top pretty quickly.
Their bourbon and American whiskey are both very good too. I’ve gone through countless bottles of both, and their standard rye.
Their 10 year bourbon was actually the first nice bottle of whiskey I ever bought myself.
They seem pretty consistent with releasing their limited release stuff once a year, but have skipped years/releases before.
I can walk into most local stores and get their American whiskey, bourbon, rye, and sour mash in the $45-50/ea price range. If you need a hand finding any of these, let me know and I’ll help ya out

    I bought one.

Worst case scenario, I have provided $100 to a good cause.

Best case scenario, a $10,000+ Pappy vertical lands in my lap. And I provided $100 to a good cause.

I’m pretty sure I regularly see all the regular offerings (US-1). Never seen any of the rest (limited) including 10-year rye and barrel strength rye.
