Proud of my godson's football game yesterday. He had 3 sacks and 2 interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. It was fun to watch.

Morning all. Pleased to say today is a great day. I’m recovering from my back surgery last week and walking well enough to go to my sons first hockey game of the season.

Stay positive and stay healthy, and do the things that make you smile.

I'm figuring they rounded up some hounds somewhere, located the big boy and Shane's been skinning and processing all afternoon.

I shot this guy right at dusk with a crossbow, the bolt snapped off and the business end didn't exit. All I found was the fletching end and some hair, not even a drop of blood. I decided to leave him overnight rather than risk bumping him in the dark. Of course we got 3" of snow overnight! Luckily, I was able to track the little dimples of tracks that remained and all ended well. I sure didn't sleep much that night. Hoping for a happy ending for Shane as well.

I lost a doe a few years back after I took a 50+ yard bow shot. Clean gut shot right through, no blood at all, bolt smelled like rot gut. After that I'm quite a bit more hesitant. That and Florida vegetation can be so thick in areas you cant walk through it. Almost have to have a dog to track.

first doe i shot with a bow was gut shot 50+ yards. I didnt have my range finder. Tracked her pretty good but i know i was tresspassing, jumped her a few times, finally gave up as i see her headed to someones yard.... I was going to ask for permission but dude looked sketchy AF. So i backed out and called it after tracking most the day:pout:
