Meet Rocky, I brought him home yesterday! I really wanted Army Green, but decided I would ‘settle’ for Lunar Rock if I had to. Now that I have it, I wouldn’t switch even if I could. I think this color looks really sharp with the blackout package, black tube steps, and mudguards.

Thanks man! I'm already enjoying the hell out of it. Was busy on Saturday swapping out the grill, hood struts, AC drain line mod, LED interior lights, removing stickers from the bed, and tonneau cover. The mod bug has bitten!

How do you safely remove the bed stickers? I was thinking about that myself. And I definitely want to upgrade the interior lighting as well. What did you use?

I'm not going to lie, it was a pain in the ass and a lot of elbow grease. I used a hair dryer to heat them up and soften them up a bit. I was expecting a lot of the adhesive to come with the decal but that wasn't the case. Once I got the decal off I was left with a ton of residue. I soaked a blue shop paper towel with goof off adhesive remover and just stuck it to the side of the truck while I worked on the other side. I came back and began to remove it. Constantly reapplying goof off until it was all gone. There was a very faint outline of where the sticker was so I took my random orbital with the finest polish I have and took the rest of it off. Applied wax after that and there's no trace of it being there. I did the same with the stupid V6 badge on the tailgate. That adhesive foam came off a little easier. I ran out of time to do the "Tacoma" badges on the sides. I'll do those sometime this week.

When I removed the decals on my 2019 I did the same thing but used clay bar to remove the adhesive and it worked pretty well. Followed by hand wax.

Thanks for the interior light link, definitely doing that. I personally don’t mind the Tacoma and V6 badges especially with the blackout package. It’s the TRD stickers on the rear side panels I’m thinking about. Not a huge fan of them.

No problem. When installing the vanity mirror bulb remember that the LED's have to be installed with the correct polarity. If they don't work when you install them flip them around. Same with the dome light.

Almost 1k miles on this thing, everyone compliments the color! So many sexy trucks in the thread and bad news for my wallet for mods 20220921_174408.jpg

I’m likely not going the true ‘mod’ route, but I already have multiple years of birthday and Christmas wishes on accessories (interior LED light kit, bed light kit, bed mat, tonneau cover, bed step, CAT shield, screen protectors, center console and glove box insert/organizers). Also, there are some threads in this forum on building dog platforms for the access cab which will be my winter project.

Just traded my 2020 Cement Taco for 2022 Lunar Sport Premium

Amazing how the color changes in different lighting.

It is amazing. I park out at the end of the lot to avoid dings. It will look more grey at first and then more green as I approach. Distance, lighting (sunny vs cloudy vs artificial light in the garage), angles, they all affect the look.
