Shit that could have been a lot worse, glad you made it out OK. Hopefully that's just a bolt-on plate and not part of the frame?

Thanks! It’s neat having something not really common so it’s always funny when people come up and go why is your drz green??

I’m just shy of 11k on mine but the damn primary but came loose and the piston slammed into valves so it got a bit of work done lol

    Oh holy shit! Thats unfort.

i think they only made the KLX400 for 3 years so they are super rare. I have only ever seen one in person. I dig the green. I kind of ran wild with the color scheme on my bike. Some days i love it, others I hate it. Its white and grey with gold and red accents.

Yeah, shoulder is a bit sore this evening, but I'm not going to complain!

Bolt on! Happy about that, too!

Ouch! Hope you're holding up ok after that, and really hope you got checked out afterward. Worked with a guy that was in a wreck and felt fine for about 3 days. Then his back started to hurt. He went in, got checked, and had a couple broken vertebrae.

Thanks, I'm good overall. Did a mobility/bruise check an hour later, then some yard work and moderate stretching with no issues.

Well she is running! No oil leak at the bottom and no odd noises it seems so far! We do have a small seap at the valve cover so I’ll look at that. I also gotta figure out the idle it seems to be all over and likes to stall sometimes and start funny? So unsure what’s up there buddy said it could be bad gas it’s been sitting for 2 months in the garage so maybe?

ride up to Gorda today. If anyone wants a stay in San Simeon, stay at the coast rider motel. the owner is a triumph guru and the place is racing themed.

Tool my antique Honda CB400F to a Legion Post car and bike show Saturday. Brought home the first place trophy again this year for the antique/vintage class. No pics this time but if you go back about one year it looks about the same.

The amber driving/fogs are the way to go. I am seen by traffic much better in the daytime. In the 6-months I've had mine installed, zero pull-outs by drivers entering the road I'm on.
    Ride safe.

The Clearwater Darla lights I have mounted on my front fender bolts of the FJR have slip on amber lens covers giving me the best of both worlds. I run the amber lens covers probably 90-95% of the time but if I do need extra light for a late night run or on a long distance rally I can slip them off and throw them in my tank bag giving me more white light when I need it.

Almost had the exact same thing happen to me this morning on my way to work. They took an aggressive "Atlanta swerve" from the right lane to the left turn lane right before a red light with traffic so I was already slowing down. Saw the headlight pass my heel by about a foot on the far side thankfully.

Can confirm. Even in the blaring midday Utah sun, you can pick out the ADV bikes coming at you on the freeway from forever away when they have the ambers on.

Oh yea they're going on. Im just researching a mount right now. Dont want crap Amazon quality, and also dont want to pay $40 each for an Axia Designs mount.

Also need to make a wire harness, since I don't need a relay for the switch. I hate electrical, so i delay as much as I can..

Here’s some options for your mounts. Thanks to @FreshOldTaco ’s link above, I looked through Denali’s website.

I had Denali D2D on my 2007 FJR and my ex has a pair on her BMW F800ST. I liked the D2D as they were a 2 stage light, 40% power with your low beam and 100% with the high beam. Not sure if they still offer that feature as those lights were from around 2013-2014. I would have no qualms at all about buying Denali stuff. Only reason I went full Clearwater is that my Krista lights were salvageable and when I called Clearwater to order new mounts they made me a really good deal on adding the Darla with a single controller operating both sets of lights.
