Honda makes the quietest, but $$$. Don’t even think about anything less than 5-6K (power). Look for versatility in the outlets having a 100v15A and also a 220v50A is great. You can use a 50’ breakout cable to get inside the house and feed your needs.

Oh, this is a finalist condition question - orientation: Think about where you might place it. You want to make sure the exhaust and outlets are reasonable for your setup. Don’t want exhausting towards your door/window. On mine outlets are on the end, generator side. Exhaust is other end, to the right from that position, which works for my general placement.

Should have done this a long time ago, but anyway...

Changing the oil on the Tacoma, I figured a purchase was in order to do it properly. Unfortunately the oil change is done, and the torque wrench wasn't ordered until afterwards, but still...

    Lowe's had Craftsman's on sale a while back, I bought a 3/8" and 1/2", haven't opened either one :anonymous:

I told my wife, for that price you can't afford not to buy one.....of each :goingcrazy:

    I remember you posting that.

The one I bought is a 1/2" 10-150 ft-lbs for $44. Should cover most everything I need to do. :D

Exactly! And also precisely why I should have bought one a long time ago.

I have one from my dad but it's and old school wrench that bends to tell you the torque. Never used it.

Believe it or not I bought a predator 6500 from HF a few years ago. Starts 3rd pull every time, is quiet, and runs the whole house, largest load is my well pump and dryer, gas range not electric. It works well, seems well made, and was $700.

I need something to run the fridge only and maybe a small heater a little in the winter. Seems like every time it storms the power goes off now. If they would only trim some trees. I'm just trying to get prepared for the winter. I asked my wife Friday if we need to buy a generator, power went off yesterday around 5pm, just came back on 30 minutes ago.

Also consider the newer digital torque adapters…

Well your in the panhandle is it gonna hit your area. The only complaint I have is the dam power company cut the transmission line and let it all lie on my back pasture. So pissed

Stay safe. I’m sure you’re like me…. “Again with this bullshit!” I’ve stayed and evacuated so many times. Even in my childhood. I survived Betsy and Camille, Ivan, Katrina, and Ida….n more.
