    yes, Icon is good.
no, I can't help decide if that's what you need without much more information, and I'm probably not knowledgeable enough.

I think the group buy is still going on that if you just want to say screw it all and rock a pretty sweet setup.

Thanks, I seriously doubt I'll NEED it... It's between the Icon Stage One and just putting Bilistein 5100's on all 4... Seems a LOT cheaper and most likely will do the trick.

How torn is it? If the joint is completely exposed then you will get sand in it and ruin the joint. If it hasn't gotten grim in it then you can just replace the boot and repack it. Otherwise you can drive around on it and you'll need to get a new cv.

I would probably fix it first because the road de-icer is going to get in there and screw things up.

Shoot if its small enough heat up a knife and melt it back together then put some super glue on there for extra protection. Should cover you for your adventure.

You going to leave it at stock height? You got AAL or new leaf springs and after market UCA? Probably don't need it but it'll make for a better ride :)

WTF we still got troops in Iraq? I coulda swore we shut down camps and fobs and moved towards Afghan. How long you been up there? Will you be coming back for R&R? And what part of Oregon?

Right now the truck has a spacer lift from the previous owner. I believe it's 3". It's Revtek. for some reason I thought the Icon Stage One would provide a 3" lift... Sounds like that was a poor assumption? I'm still super new to the suspension/lift kit world, and I guess mods in general.

i just talked to the toyota here in corvallis...she quoted me $330 to change my passenger cv. she said that they change both the inside and outside.

i really have no idea but this seems steep.

Yes dealerships are notoriously expensive. The dealership I go to (when I have to) is $95/hour. Personally, I'd talk with people and see if you can find someone word of mouth... I ended up finding a really good guy that way. He's something like $45/hour and I've always been more than happy with his work.
