Burning of the midnight oils. Project to keep me up through the night. Not going after both sides tonight but the joint that had a little slop in it. Daughter's heap.20220927_020344.jpg

I haven't checked in lately but hope everyone is doing well.
I've been in a little bit of funk lately. Nothing seriously bad just the thought of going to night shift and putting in 80 hour weeks if counting drive time, that and going into winter. Not my favorite time of year.
Then there's the other worldly things going ono_O
Makes no sense to worry about things out of our control but just a built in fault I suppose.
0215 so I better get this thing cleaned up and back together.

@wilcam47 here’s the nail puller, looks newer than the one you have. I painted it blue a while back.

Neighbor came in yesterday and said they had a flea infestation. My wife ask what were they doing about it? She said we're trying all natural stuff right now. I said the only natural thing that will get rid of fleas is fire :bananadead:

Maybe it's time to buy a Ford Lightning and use it to power the house when the power goes off! Like you said, it's only money, but I just need more of it!

I remember as a kid when we would leave for vacation we would set off flea bombs all throughout the house. We always had outside cats coming in and going out.

    Good to see you! :)

Working nights is hard on both body and mind. People who haven't done it don't understand.

I worked alone from 11pm to 8am for a whole three months. I don't recommend that. You start hearing things.

My wife worked three 12 hour shifts from7a to 7p, Friday through Sunday while getting her doctorate. That woman is a damn machine.

Damn. Life came at me FAST for the past two months. One thing after the next, $10k in expenses last month put EVERYTHING on hold. Thank God for a stable income and savings.

I finally got around to playing with the zero turn. Some of you may recall @koditten sent me some flywheel magnets to try out after one delaminated and shredded itself between the stator and inner circumference of the flywheel. Thanks again for that! Found one that fit. I tested the stator and it's toast. Got an inexpensive one on the way. Meanwhile my yard looked like a hayfield because I hadn't mowed since the end of July. Time to clean the plugs off on the Massey 35 Utility and fire up the flail mower to knock it down. The ZT would have struggled through it, the yard grows very thick in spots- especially after all that rain. Looks like hell because I really just knocked down the heavy spots in preparation of having the ZT fixed next weekend.

Side note: I found an in-ground yellow jacket's nest. Got stung twice saving my doggo from getting smoked by them. She's a 60lb pit, they were swarming her so I ran through the swarm and grabbed her, kept running. She had no idea what was happening. Looks like they only got her once, they got me twice- once on the wrist, once on the kneecap through a rip in my jeans.

Now I have to kill those suckers before I mow again. Hope y'all have been well!
