Truck Names

Ok, little poll just for fun. I've had my truck for less than two weeks, and I've already had 4 people (all woman) ask me what I named it. So my question to everyone is this: Do you name your trucks (or cars)?

 

I named a old volkswagen beetle Black Betty(black) haha and my old camaro shrek (green) but i havent named my tacoma

 

Freud might find that interesting - or do you name anything else?
No, I have not named my truck......

 

I never understood the fascination with naming your truck or vehicle. Can someone explain the rationale behind this thinking?

 

I named my truck Pyra because of the Pyrite Mica color. Reasoning why people name their vehicles vary. My reason for naming my truck is because I've always had cars that were handmedowns or a Point A-B vehicle, I never had the vehicle I've dreamed of, my truck is the 1st vehicle I have actually saved up for and dreamed and waited for, so that's my reasoning why I named my truck because I am have a great truck I am proud of, so why not name it.

 

Nothing wrong with naming 'em. My tacoma doesn't have a name - we just call it 'Taco' (jeez, how original?) but our Jeep is named "Izzy (II)".
For me - names always came from something that happened or something that just 'stuck' somehow. Never could sit down and think of a name and actually remember it.

 

I named my quad Foxzuki and that is my license plate on the truck, but the tacoma is often referred to as the 'ugly red toy'.

 

I don't have a name for my truck, but I do have a name for my garmin. She talks to me, so I figured she should have a name.

 

my truck is refered to as "the Mistress".

 

Ugly Red Toy? Impulse Red Pearl is the best color for a Tacoma! Of course because mine is that color.

 

My Tacoma is called: "the truck" and my wife's CRV is called "the Honda."

 

My wife and I name most everything. My new '09 Tacoma is named "Belle" (for Taco Bell)

Mine is officially called Cherry but usually in conversation it is just the Tacoma.

 

Fortunately the nice people in the factory named my truck, and they put a badge on the back. First name 'Toyota', second 'Tacoma'.

 

I wanted to name mine Mumakill or Oliphant but the wife kinda sighed. So she is still not named.

 

When and if the time comes that it gives me trouble, I will affectionately refer to it as either, "MuthaFucka", "PieceAShit", or "SonOfaBitch". Right now however ...(knock on wood)...It's just plain ole 'truck"!

 

My truck actually refers to itself as トラック which means "truck" in Japanese!

 

Trucks name is "Yota"

Its' short for toYOTA.

Girlfriends Scion is named Madeline
