    I have it on.

Loving the live DARTCam and they just announced the targeting system has detected Dimorphos for the first time :goingcrazy:

    Nailed it! :infantry:
I wonder when we’ll get to see the remote footage of the impact from the Italian cube sat.

I kept hearing the 14k mph speed being referenced but what was the relative speed to Dimorphos? And a follow up Q: what was the image interval? Same as they were downlinked I'm guessing? Not easy (for me at least) to grasp scale from those images of approach.

The NSF live stream has the replay a couple of times at the end.
I don't know how fast Didymoon was going. However, it's only about 500' across, the image interval was 2 seconds and Andy Cheng (on the NSF stream) said the boulders near where it impacted was the size of beach balls.

I’m hoping that with some good images and orbital measurements they’ll be able to generate a decent 3D rendering of the impact. Having that would give us a much better understanding of what it would take to alter the trajectory of a similar body. It looks more like consolidated rubble than a solid single rock.

I'm sure there is a formula for it but I am curious which would yield a larger effect/change in velocity/trajectory: if it were solid (i.e. higher mass) or consolidated rubble that could be blown off thus further changing the interaction with Didymos.

Not eloquently worded but I think that conveys my question.

I'd love to know the actual closing speed. Based on the last three to four images sent, I can't believe the closing speed was the same as the speed the were saying the spacecraft was moving.
