I know I don't understand their circumstances, but it can't be that bad if they're still in CA . You're making it sound like all of CA is so bad and the stories you heard are terrifying. Not all part of CA have horrible story to tell. You just happened to know people in the worst part of the state. Like I said, the bigger the city, the bigger the problem. San Jose is in the bay area district and litterily anything south of Santa Clarita (including San Bernardino) are packed with population and that's where the problems are. Not to mention the Capital (Sacramento).

PNW (Oregon and Washington) is not all green and jolly. PNW is just like CA, you have some of the worst and better area. It's no different where you go, there's some kind of problem.

I know my prior rant has nothing to do with this thread, but seeing the CA members that ‘liked’ my little bitch session makes me think leaving is the right thing to do. Still sad though. And yes, every area has its issues for sure.

Hey man, you're the wiser one to leave. Nothing wrong with that. I said what I said because not all part of CA is bad. You live here and I'm sure you know why LA and SF is by far the worst part of the state.

If you live in CA and have to drive 30+ minutes to go 1.5 miles on the freeway, that's the problems city.

If you commute 10 minutes to travel 7 miles on the freeway, your city is good.

I call that traffic light control freeway, it's a stop and go every few seconds. Instead of traveling 65, you're going 0-10 and back to a complete stop. LA is the worst.
