in other news. Just found out my furnace is pretty f'ed, and will cost 1k minimum to get running this winter. Getting a quote on a new one...

I've yet to fire mine up. Still gotta change the oil filter, clean the nozzle, and purge both zones...

They tried to change the nozzle/vacuum the firebox out. All the bolts are seized solid and the company said they'll likely snap most of them trying to remove them. The list of things wrong is longer than the list of things that works...

 

I'm gonna nurse mine along as long as I can. It's a LeakhamBurnham from 2001. My AC is definitely on its way out and being an R22 unit it isn't worth replacing the rusted out coil. I'll be running window units for a while... If I had Bill's money it would be no problem
