No lift yet, but I just put Yokohama Geolander A/T 265/75R16s on my truck a couple of weeks ago. Amazing how that extra 1 inch of OD better fills in the wheel wells.

Definitely go 285 or bigger :D

    I’m on 285/75r16.

KO2 aren’t a bad tire I’ve had 2 sets of them. They hold up well for mileage on the road, they have held up well on the rocks and have low road noise.
    40664830-F17D-457B-A814-2C3ABAD1D962.jpg
They’re not the greatest in the mud, okay in the rain and do pretty well in the snow.
    90597813-1F5E-4F3F-B25F-9C1599BD89F4.jpg
For a tire for All Terrains they do what an all terrain should which is be okay at everything but not great at anything. AT is a compromise tire.
    5575FBFE-FDF1-4D15-A3E8-B86D2573CB25.jpg
They do way better than MT tires I’ve had in snow and rain. I haven’t had the wet weather issues a lot of people complain about but I’ve also ran mud tires from 33”-38” tires on Jeeps, full size and mid size trucks for about 2 decades. So I’m not coming from street tires/all weather/rain tires.

I’m going to a 315/75r16 Geolander G003 MT next because mud
    D4E69D70-27E5-4790-BE8B-8FF1FA3FE7ED.jpg

I think I got almost all terrains in there. Desert, mountains, Forrest, rocks, snow, dirt, mud, etc.

I doubt Costco will but them on your truck as they are more than 3% larger in diameter.

What will you have to do going from 285s to 315s?

Probably an aggressive cmc or relocate. I was fortunate that when Toyota build my truck I ended up with a lot of clearance on my cab mount. I can full flex and not rub with 285/75r16 at -12 offset. So we will see how much I can get away with 315.

I don’t won’t to cut my wheels wells. So I bought taller rear bump stops. I’ll need new front ones as well. They will be some adjusting for flex with the shock length, wheel wells and bumps.

I’ll have to trim the front fender liner and hammer over the pinch welds.

That will only be the start of it I’m sure.

    All of them.
If that's the thinking, might as well get some 35s under there

Ah gotchya. I have a lot of space but am barely going to put on 285s once I get my lift and leafs on this upcoming week or the next. I have -10 offset methods and my bumper chopped already so I don’t see them being a big deal. Was just curious because with this progressive Tacoma disease I know I’ll be slapping on 315s in no time

Yeah it’s not if, It’s when

34.8 (315) or 35 are a lot of work but man it looks good and gives you a lot capability.

Whatever size I get it’s going to be the Mickey Thompsons thought about 305s but they don’t seem much different than the 285s

265/75/16 Duratracs for the win. They looked stuffed in the Taco, until I got the 2" Lift. No rubbing, no spacers, no problems. Aaaaand, no regrets.
