    God damn.

Sucks you're going through all that but it sounds like the worst is behind you.

You ain't that far from me, and you've got my number so if you ever need a hand just shoot me a text.

Here's to hoping things lighten up.

Sorry man, been watching my dad go through a very similar thing with my grandparents/his mom and dad lately. Moved them from Missouri to a facility near him in Oregon, been incredibly stressful on them and him. Hard see our parents decline

    Man those look so good.

And like I said I had those on my list too, but after I texted my wife back I asked how she chose it (cause I think she made an awesome guess) she said cause the others had too many options to pick from when ordering

I had the non-Pro Steelseries on there as well which I think eliminates the option to adjust each individual key.

Man the decision fatigue is so real for tech items. There's an infinite number of things to choose from, it seems.

Even just helping to narrow down some choices by asking those on here what their experience was, still leaves a lot to choose from.

Think a "best guess" from the pile is the best way to move forward and try something out. Otherwise we sit here looking at shit all day.

I feel like I considered way more options when I was shopping back in the day. Nowadays i have a few key things i care about and I’m done.

100pct. Used to look at all the reviews for every item and compare and try and figure out the best of the best. Now I ask for recs, look at what's popular, and figure one of the top 2-3 is good enough for me lol

    Yup.

What’s odd too is there’s so many brands out there now that I can’t keep track. It really drives me toward ones I already know just because of recognition.

Sounds like a fun project; hopefully the wiring is already run or some stuff is ready and waiting for you.

Yeah agreed. The k1 Keychron makes is their low profile mech attempt, I wanted to at least try it when it came out, and it feels pretty good but I still don't like flat key caps and that spacing, plus they're reds. They switched it on newer ones, but still not my thing.
I've been using laptops so much more and even though my MBP is okay, I've been trying to hunt down a NOS x220 or close to it, for a forever setup just for typing and small stuff. I really miss good keyboards on laptops and even Thinks have gotten shallower. There are some oddballs like the MNT Reform that have a mechanical in it. I've heard good things about Framework too, I'd like to try one of those.
Shallow travel and chiclets should be banned.

Haha she nailed it. The Keychrons do have tons of options and I can imagine if you don't know what you're looking at you'd just say, "Nope." lol
