I had to warn my wife that atf is red. So if she sees me walk in to wash my hands and I'm covered in red, it's not blood.

welp. That throws a wrench in my maintenance plans. I have a higher chance of finding Atlantis than I do getting this out. Spinning freely and going nowhere. Of course it was the last of 6 bolts too. Skids not coming off. I think I can do atf but can't do center or front diff with it on. That's going to be a spring time issue. I might ask for help getting that bolt down. I was able to lower the skid a smidge and MIGHT be able to get a sawzall blade back there but I'd rather have the skid and the as is diff and ATF than no skid for the winter while I figure out wtf to do to fix it. Hopefully just the bolt is F'd and the threads on the frame are in good shape. But either way that's spring time Rob's issue and I'm not risking f'ing with it now when I have to get to NC in two weeks vs the alternative. If the weather is still warm enough when I get back I might take a whack before the winter but most likely that'll be a spring time Rob's issue.

    Edit @jpereira2

Good news is with the bumper, the fronts still pretty easy to access without dropping the skid. Bad news is - that bitch ain't coming off before WW :(

I think I need to do the ECGS bearing. Got a 2" lift and a bit of a vibration ~25mph

Also how often do you guys do the fluids? I'm at 21k miles

If you can feel/hear an intermittent pulsing at your left foot, needle bearing for sure. If you feel it more in the seat and it doesn't stop til you're out of that mph range, probably your driveline angle

Diff and tcase are every 30k, atf is supposed to be 60k I think

To piggyback on what Matt said, if you put it in four-wheel drive the vibration should go away if you need the bushing. If the vibration does not go away you have drive line angle issues

This is my first truck, so it's all new to me. If its the latter, 1: how immediate of a problem is it? 2: what would the remedy typically be?

I'll try 4Hi tomorrow and see if it goes away. It seems to not occur if I accelerate quickly, only if I accelerate really slowly. I just upsized my tires to 265/75/16s as well (wildpeaks)

I had a driveline vibe when I lifted my truck, started small enough to question whether I was actually feeling anything and went to full on shaking the whole truck in a week or 2. Granted I was daily driving the truck in bumper to bumper on 93 at the point so ymmv but I wouldn't wait and risk u-joints/etc. Based on this post that's what I'm leaning towards, but definitely see if it stops in 4wd first. If it doesn't then a carrier bearing spacer is in your future, super easy 5 minute install and my vibe disappeared

If it's not the bushing, is there like a kit for the bearing?

Truck isn't going to fall apart but sooner is better than later.

If it's driveline angles you probably need a carrier bearing drop. Basically spacers for your carrier bearing. Cheap and easy to do. Much easier than the ecgs bushing and that's not bad. Think Matt and I had the hardest time getting the axle back in.

Don't buy anything else they offer, I have it all including plenty of seals. Only need one yet I have 4 extras.

Perfect. It really doesn't matter who makes it, it's a spacer
