My wife was a stay at home mom for 14 years. About 5 years ago she decided to go back to work part time now that the kids are older. She doesn't make much money at all. But that's ok.

Now many years ago.......before kids when we were a true dual income couple and the ol' dollar went a lot further.....yeah, we did what we wanted to....within reason

I'm also debating trading the Taco for something more economical and cheaper. I almost jumped on a 2019 Subaru WRX 6mt that was a pretty damn good price. Woulda dropped my monthly a good couple hundred. But then I would need to find a cheap pickup as the home improvement stuff requires it. Gah, I don't like this whole adult stuff...

Well I figured out why the previous owner traded it in. It was having mechanical issues out the wazoo. I'll spare all the details, but it seemed the front diff was shot as the biggest one. Among other things...

My garage heater's gonna be $3400 all in. We just did the furnace last year this time for $5400 IIRC. Eh ... 21 year old house ... part of the deal I reckon.
    You'll see ...
