On a more nuanced level: Those new factories are gonna be make or break for them. The benefit is that they'll have big production numbers. That will do wonders for the company longevity because it gives them the option to just put out product in tough times where, even if the profits are slim or at a loss, there will be cash flow from it. Cash flow is something they've struggled with greatly besides funding. On the other hand it's a lot more overhead and gives them absolutely zero room to downsize. They've saved their asses a lot in the past with coverups, fancy marketing, and that jazz, but i seriously doubt they can deal with the hit on investor and customer sentiment if they have to close or cut production at one of those factories if something doesn't go their way. Calling it now that that will be their demise

I do like me some Rao's. That said, check out what Save a Lot has actually. Rao's is nice because it's simple, tomatoes and that's about it. You get Ragu etc, it's packed with a bunch of crap other than gravy. Mantia's, from Save a Lot, is the same....It doesn't have any of that superfluous crap.

    https://savealot.com/products/mantias-pasta/

In Seekonk, the BJ's gas is usually only 1-2 cents cheaper than the speedway across the street.

I mean if the math works for you, then it works for you. It just didn't really work for us. I'm not against revisiting it, but it's been mostly not worth the membership cost - even when they're sending us flyers for like 25$/year.

    upload_2022-9-28_14-35-3.jpg

    NAILED IT

I think we were off by like a month or two for the lowest. We might have been able to get closer to 2.5.

    And that's on a 30.

This is one of those "DO NOT ROCK THE BOAT" times in life - we have a mortgage at 2.625% for another 28 years. :spy:

It's a border town between MA and RI down here, it's pretty well known in the area, also it's pretty close to where Mr. Richard lives :spy:

Before we refid it was 4.25%, even THAT I was like "Yeah okay, I mean we can pay a bit early but this isn't bad". If it wasn't for dropping PMI it would have been a coin toss to refi or not. But to drop PMI would have been a reassessment which was a huge chunk of the cost of a refi anyway. We were in the green on cost of refi by like, Nov 2021.

My Dad is from there. I have 3 aunts and a slew of cousins up there still and visit from time to time.

No one I have ever mentioned it to in life has had the slightest hint of recognition, so it was surprising to see it mentioned here.

And yes, fly into Providence, not Boston, to get there.

Also, @theesotericone will be happy to see BBIG is *trying* to run after the positive court news today.

    But, of course, fuckery.

 nice! I'm right in Providence.

us miscreants in the russian chat had a conversation about how much of a disaster logan is since it's in the bay and you basically have to go through tunnels, or an hour detour through the "back" neighborhoods to get there. Flying into PVD is nice when it makes sense but I wouldn't take flights if it adds a ton of layovers or flight times.

There are busses BOS to Providence, and a train that unfortunately only goes from South Station to Providence (or a few other commuter rail stops), so you have to connect via South Station before you get to Providence.

Those are options if the flights are 500$ cheaper and a day less travel time :notsure:

    Driving to Logan blows.
